The stream was transparent
like a sky without a cloud
Reflections were apparent
as fresh as a field just ploughed.
The water trickled, it just fell
as if nothing mattered at all
sweeping across where otters dwell
up to the crashing waters in the fall.
It was delightful, refreshing to hear
crystal clear waters along the verge
creeping gingerly to the weir
where fish peep then submerge.
Bullrushes like brooms stand guard
like soldiers in a regimented row
each having such a high regard
where each plant should grow.
Trees shade the dappled splashes
of the odd little leak
up to where the foamy spray crashes
along the stone lined creek.
Kingfishers, as blue as the sea
cradle their catch for grim death
snuggling up in their nests in the tree
living the moment to catch their breath.
The call of the blackbird with a golden beak
singing for its star in the show
oh if only this gorgeous bird could speak
it would tell you things you know.
Oh! pretty Teresa with golden soft hair;
whilst the hints of dried red rose disappeared in flair,
The bay side lavenders watched the beauty
of thy tears, falling into the dark blue sea,
they knew well as to why you weep.
the tears drop by drop slip from your soul,
timid, slip, flow, break, touch and drowned.
you sit by the warmest grave as night sits by
so weakly does the stars shine
Oh! little Teresa with golden soft hair;
whilst the hints of dried red rose disappeared in flair,
the soul of your mother stands here, remember I
the day you were born likewise the days you did grow
dear, feelings swing like seasons indeed
happy before sad or sad before happy.

Awake

With this restless mind of mine i lye in the bed wide awake. Dreaming of my future, my past, and thinking of my present.
To me i feel as if my legs are locked in bed. I cant get up even if i tried.
I wake and wake and lye like i am unable to physically move.
How do i get up from this slump i have fallen in?
How can i get any rest with all of these thoughts running through my mind

So open yet so closed.

I just want to sleep. Im so awake.

I look to the sky,
to an endless an
seamless
ceiling of cumulus clouds
for a break
in their unity,
I find me
a window,
colored in sharp cerulean blue,
an I see some pieces of hope,
in beautiful refractions of
life giving light,
in that glorious clear that beckons me so

Smile (:

No one sees me when I smile
Wider than my eyes can bear
Cooler than the coolest spring
Which you could find within this muggy summer air
Because when I grin
There is no sense of urgency or care
There is only me and my eyes which crease
Like folded paper flying through the humid air
For my smile is this
Not because I wish to hide it
Or even because I overly care
But because my purest form happiness
Is only seen when not prepare
Alive and well in its natural state
Most often outside and always wide
Something you might see across my face
As a representation of what's inside*

Memories heart rendering
puts a closure to all upbringings and my whereabouts
a redemption of thoughts,

Our togetherness
our time spent together
triggers in emotions and feelings of bliss n' joy,

Years and years of our friendship
the ongoing occurrences
our past, our present and our future, exultant,

Prayers and support
ebullient meetings and exquisite pictures
compels only flashbacks,

In unison
we sing songs of our bond
in euphoria we fight the world, two against all.
I love my best friend to bits. She means the world to me <3
Your image remains on my retina
and your touch remains on my skin

I've waited seven years
for all my cells to be replaced
but you always seem to win

I forgot my favorite poem
but I remember your grin

And only my memory knows about
the dimple on your chin

I remember the streaks in your iris

but I forget how I've been

I think I'm losing against myself
in this war within

Sunrise
A light mist diffuses its rays
Rabbits lap at the morning dew
Eagles circle overhead

Morning
Kids walking to school
Rabbits flee to the bushes
Eagles circle overhead

Women in designer sneakers
Walk designer dogs
Dogs stare intently at the bushes
Eagles circle overhead

Students in PE uniforms
Run here and there
Yelling, chasing *****
Eagles circle overhead

Riding mower screams near bushes
Spraying grass and debris
Terrified rabbits flee the mower’s roar
Eagles plunge downward

Aerie rests upon outfield lightstand
Eaglets screech, mouths agape
Mother rips warm meat from a tiny carcass
Her children will live another day

Noon
Students sit here and there
Eating, laughing, smoking
They leave trash in their wake
The rats are lucky the eagles have eaten
The sky is bright blue overhead

Students in PE uniforms
Run here and there
Yelling, chasing *****
The sky is bright blue overhead

Kids walking home
Individually and in small groups
They ignore the trash
They do not see the rats
Puffy clouds float by overhead

An old Mexican man with a sad demeanor
Walks the field
He picks up the trash with gloved hands
The sun beats down upon his head

Boys in cleats occupy the field
Mouths full of seeds
Moving in choreographed actions
The sky is filled with grayish white spheres
For awhile

Dusk
The field’s lights blink on
Accompanied by a faint fluorescent hum
The eagles are not disturbed
The bright bulbs warm their nest
The sky is cobalt and pink

Groups of uniformed boys run on and off of the field
Spectators’ cheers  punctuate their actions
The eagles sleep peacefully
The sky is obscured by bright lights

Night
A trim Caucasian man moves a heavy switch downward
One by one the lights go dim, silent, off
The last lights are his truck’s headlights beaming across the infield
A crescent moon is visible overhead

Deer and coyotes play deadly hide and seek during the night
The deer seeking sweet flowers and grass
The coyotes seeking the deer
The moon and stars glow brightly overhead

Sunrise
The sun peeks above the horizon
Warm hues of yellow and orange
Songbirds wake to announce the day
Eagles circle overhead
