Joy.
That temporary high.
Fleeting feelings
in a short-lived life.
The rush that makes it
seem worthwhile.
A one way street.
Joy.
Intermittant peaks,
highs then lows.
All things in between
till you run out of road.
A dead end street
on a one way trip.
Joy.

A lone flower stays
Where the broken vase lays
Busking in the sun's dying rays.
Will it thrive or will it die?
The leaves look to the light
Petals gently curling in sight

As the sun sets
There is no room left for regret
As with all that's said and done
It is not uncertain
It cannot be undone
Don't look back and carry on.

As the flower dies,
The stars watch the moon rise.

Love came to Flora asking for a flower
That would of flowers be undisputed queen,
The lily and the rose, long, long had been
Rivals for that high honor. Bards of power
Had sung their claims. "The rose can never tower
Like the pale lily with her Juno mien" —
"But is the lily lovelier?" Thus between
Flower-factions rang the strife in Psyche's bower.
"Give me a flower delicious as the rose
And stately as the lily in her pride" —
But of what color?" — "Rose-red," Love first chose,
Then prayed — "No, lily-white — or, both provide;"
And Flora gave the lotus, "rose-red" dyed,
And "lily-white" — the queenliest flower that blows.

In the midst of darkness,
The Straight Path is true, illuminated, blissful.
Realm of the temptress,
The darkness is deceptive, mysterious, sensual.
Strong are her temptations,
To explore the forbidden, as curiosity weakens the will.
So to loose ones bearings
In these alleys of darkness, is not a failure of the soul.
Its in our nature, this weakness,
For our curiosity is a magnet to mystery, even those foul.
But to revert from this darkness,
To the illuminated path, is indeed a triumph of the will.
Let your imagination be you guide.

Why fear death, for your death is certain,
Why fear the unknown, for your fate is known,
Why fear the dark, for the light is within,
Why fear ignominy, for your ego's a prison.

Overcome your fears and you will be liberated,
Love without constraints and you will be exhilarated,
Submit to The Supreme Will and you will be exalted.
Fear not, instead be free

Dream of congregation,
Pray for isolation,
One ironic lonely nation.

I wear my heart upon my sleeve
Let outsiders in
Knowing they'll soon leave

I never come across as broken
Though my words are hardly spoken
Most days I have a blank expression
Though my thoughts are full of aggression
I hold on to every remark
Tears crash down after dark

My body becomes numb
Everytime I feel done

Someday soon I will leave
Then most will be pleased
When I'm gone there will be no sorrow
They'll go on like nothing happened tomorrow.

I normally keep it hidden
With a joke and a Smile
But if you look closely
you might be able to see

My eyes all shiny
with unshed tears
my body tense
to keep it from falling apart

I just want to cry
break the dam
and let the tears flow

Every day
all day
I just want to cry
