I speak of legends almost a century old still today new myths must be told.
a man from the shadows who dressed in all black he springs from the shadows to start his attack.
a hero who flew as high as the sun as is the wish of the last of krypton.
A princess and warrior as fierce as her name a wondrous woman, equal in fame.
A benevolent king under the seas, he does what he likes, and does not look to please.
A frequent flyer who has reached the stars by his lanterns light fear flees the night.
A crimson hero who speeds bad guys away, he continues to move faster each day.
A robotic man with a heart and a brain, cybernetic only by name.
A sheep in wolf's clothing more human then all he manhunts monsters his home will not fall.
A small child who thunders his name all Olympus roars the same.
A archer of the brave and the bold, a bow and a hood, a story long told.
These our the myths of 2000 A.D. real or not they empower the free.
I just love comics thought I should do this. Enjoy!

Look at me. What do you see? A boy crying out for sanctuary? I morn only myself for the life I lead.
see I ware a mask to shelter the past. To keep thoughts away who do not plan to stay. It might be lonely it might be sad, but when I meet my reflection I know ill be glad. Where ever she is, where ever she may be, I know she wares a mask just like me. Together we will chase the bad guys away. Ill see her scars and she will see mine. Below our skin our hearts will align. I can't see her face yet but I know she's out there. The girl who carried my heart all my life. Through heartache and hatred and anger and strife.
And I will thank her for saving much more than my life.
The journey to love is often unkind to who follow. But every now and again you find someone worth the hardships along the road.

Crucifix is my name. Sounds odd even in my brain.
see when I was a boy, my dad was a fed every night I was scared he'd come home dead.
I spent my days creating heroic plays. Bat man and robin. Daredevil too. They were the playmates, I wanted to be. That is the real tragedy you see.
Born in this world away from the rest, my true character is beneath my chest. I named him crucifix you see. A dark crusader, and the Christian in me.
He's what I still wish I could be. If I could publish a book one day.
It should be his. And in some way star me.
I could be the hero I wish I could be.
yes I know that's not very humble of me. But there seams to be a human urge, to stand away from the rest. To be the star of the show.
Makes me wonder why we shun thoughts with celebrity glow.
Crucifix is me. He will always be.
This is just a little you need to know. Because that's where my name comes from on this page.
Someone asked me why my username was crucifix...so here is why.

A villain
In all of us
An evil
In the best of us
A greed
That lurks within
A demon
That commits the sin
An anger
Thrown and hurled
A hatred
Against the world
A monster
Unleashed to fight
A darkness
That drowns out the light
But something, a flicker, a flame
Something, a spark, a name
A light
That outshines the dark
A warrior
Valiant in heart
A love
That we give away
A joy
When we save the day
An angel
Makes the better choice
A saviour
When we use our voice
A winner
Is the best of us
A hero
In all of us
There's a hero in all of us. Sure we all make mistakes and wrong choices, but there's good in everyone, even if you don't see it in yourself. :)

his mom gone at only eight,
a child lost and confused
his only clarity found on a mix tape
that if he could be in control of one thing was his name -
"starlord"
so innocent for twenty-two only to regain
his past.
shoved and pushed into a fish-eye view of the universe
trying not go insane
maneuvering his way around the stars
navigate
orienting his only human body into something inhumane
a guardian
people would call him,
he would hug his steel helmet around his brain
and see his world as it really is:
bright red
suffocates
but still manages to plaster a smile,
dumb jokes in his teeth to entertain
that if only somehow his scrabble of a life could turn
"fright" into "light"
but for god's sake
there is no light in black holes
a view opaque
only galaxies revolving around them,
other supernovas about to collapse
to conceal their fate
this is actually about Guardians of the Galaxy um

my math teacher once said that the reason superheroes came about in the USA was because americans are the ones who needed the most saving
i didn't know if i should've been offended on behalf of the kids in my class
my math teacher isn't american yet i found my mind wandering throughout his lesson on polynomials
i thought about super heroes in comic books
batman, superman, ironman, wonderwoman
someone had to do the saving
but they all saved the world
maybe they saved individuals i don't know
americans are the ones who need the most saving
we're the ones who need the most saving
teenagers are the ones who need the most saving
i'm the one who needs the most saving
not from batman or superman or wonderwoman
i need to be my own hero and
save myself

It comes without warning;
you can't choose whether
or not it happens to you.
It's a calling.
The act of someone needing you,
not someone else,
but you.
You are the hero they need
to save them,
before there's nothing left to save.
You stay up late trying to find ways to become this hero.
You and the caller talk as long as the caller wants.
While this might not be the ideal situation for the hero,
they do it anyways in order
to make sure the caller doesn't end.
The hero swoops in at every situation they can,
trying to convince the caller;
trying to say how much they're needed.
Many times,
they succeed.
The caller decides they want to see another day.
They want to stay strong.
That gives the hero relief,
and only pushes them to try harder.
But,
there always seems to be one final time
when the hero's too late.
This is the time where it's not only the caller's end,
but the hero's, too.
The hero hits zero;
the hero doesn't want to continue
when they know how they
could've prevented this.
And that's when the cycle restarts-
the only difference being the hero
is now the caller.
The new hero,
on the other hand,
unknowingly waits for the call;
the call that could save a hero's life.
