Everybody loves a love poem

But does anyone really have love?

To be a writer's to be alone

We just write about what we dream of

I see my book on your shelf
And yours on mine,

I would take our afterthoughts
And turn them into rhyme.

Every love story starts with
A blank page.
Take note,

People still write letters
Left for others to quote.

Each day with you
Leaves a poet at a loss for words.

I love you, Darragh.

A time for us,

A private bookcase
Sealed with kisses.

Last I night I slept on your ceiling
It was the most ghastly feeling
to be looking down and watch you roll around with some other human being
Now when I'm in my own bed
I look up and see you instead
But I know you'd never sleep on my ceiling

I know you weren't ready for this and you did'nt  ask for this like the special at your favourite restaurant

But they served you anyway scrambled eggs and a cup of coffee

Drinking from a broken cup must frustrating

I'm sorry and I don't blame anyone ...so I'll say it again ,I'm sorry

You  were once an axe  chopping trees in your way but now your an example of your former glory

Don't believe them  when they tell you "your too old  for this " they're  to young to be acting like wise men

You feel like they chopped of arms and the teacher asked everyone  to raise their arm to show the presence

The absences of the one thing they tell you it doesn't exist

I'm sorry that hero's don't exist in these day or time

I'm sorry that life made an unexpected turn ,  It slapped hard  if the issue was not the pain but the reason to get up

I wish love would visit you for a one nightstand and the reverse it's decision to leave

Cause that's all you want and need

I'm sorry that disappointments have become  a familiar phase "like I know your face but I'm not sure where I saw you "

He gets very lonely writing for an audience of one

It's tiring knowing the ending before it's even begun

And he claims that he just does it for fun

But deep down he knows he wants to please everyone

Eyes spilling over trembling cheeks
leave in their wake purple streaks
A feeling as though my ears are full of cotton
Trying to speak, but it seems I've forgotten
Stomach drops, the nausea begins
Knees give out, legs cave in
Is this the effect of undying love
Or perhaps the result of lack thereof

Meet me on top of the ant hill
The one where the sand caves in
We can settle this score
If we meet on the floor
And we'll see who's the bigger one then
