The ghost or a demon
From the blasts of hell
Will you trick me not
But I will lead my self to
Salvation
For I am only human
There’s a state of profound integration
But the ego demands separation
       So the mind flips about
       Like a panicky trout
Who’s deprived of essential hydration
Contemplating the conflicted human condition, in which our souls thirst for a return to the cosmic unity, while our conscious rational selves must identify as something unique and distinct, and so our agitated thoughts flutter like a fish out of water

What did I Glimpse
In the woods
That day?
Amongst the bracken
And
Bluebells that sway

Something wonderful
Is all
I can say,
Thinking about it,
As I
Pass this way

There comes a time, every full moon or so,
When I crave the quiet trill of nature -
The private experience of melting my awareness into hers.
Like honey swirled through warm tea,
I slowly dissolve into her.

My mind stalls in time.
My heart swells with deep belonging.

Alone and untethered to the human world,
I can forget everything I have learned about myself
And remember everything I am.

For she is me,
And I am her.
She shows me who we are.
