It’s frigid
My entire left side
Is being pelted with snow
And wind
And cold
But for a moment it’s nice
This numb, space of time
When no obligations
Nothing, is
pressing down

Only where I’ve been
And where I have
To go

tea is like a candle on the table
and the table is like an oak hut

fireflies flash around me
outside the ice flying in the wings

A blanket of dust
now covers our picture.
Soft earth that was once your skin,
is now dusted with snow.

This sheet had layered
over months without warmth.
But we are soon
to hold each other again.

Then Spring bed will be dawned upon,
and rains of April;
shower mud off of your
brilliant reflection.

Summer may bore
our new year,
to melt mountain’s
ice covers.
A love poem.

I am cold.
But everyone says
You just need to get past my walls,
I am a warm person deep down.
They see what they want to but
I am cold as ice inside.
People will tell you
I have a sensitive side but
Hardly anyone sees.
What I truly am inside,
A heartless monster.
Still, my peers think they know
I am really a big softy.

Now read it bottom to top.
I tried to write this a while ago but ended up just going off on a rant instead so here is my newer version of that poem.

Tears freeze as they fall to the ground
Waiting for the time
Footsteps fall still without a sound
Soft bells without a chime
The snow is colder than the grave
Hair frozen to the skin
Flowers crumbling wished to save
The lost from unknown sin
Autumn was cold, winter colder
Poems upon the tomb
Time and sorrow growing older
The wish within the doom

ice and fire through my veins
stomach meets the floor
brain growing fuzzy behind the ears
i cant see
i cant hear
i cant breathe

Why do you question why I am broken?

You made me this way;

You flung your words and hate at me like knives,

You scorn me, and turn your noses up.

You ignore my pain, except only when you are not mocking it.

You wonder why I am hard as stone, ice.

You ripped the softeness and warmth from my flesh, and this is all that was left.

You wonder why you made me like this.

The ice queen has taken her throne.
