When did it all change?
We were living out our lives
No responsibilities
No worries
Roaming the streets
As if we ruled the world
We had so much bliss
We didn’t need to understand the world yet
But we acted as if it were ours
We lived fully in the moment
Didn’t worry about the future because it simply didn’t exsist
Didn’t dwell on the past because there was nothing to dwell upon
We were young
We ruled the night
Those city lights
We had it all
I don’t know where they’ve all gone
But I’ll always remember
When we ruled the world
And nobody knew

It all just started with different race of black
All the bad ideas were just stacked in a sack

They strived for their rights until they got the light
They tried to have the freedom without even having to fight

But then the other people started treated them roughly
They had to come on streets and fight for them toughly

After all the fights and struggles they got to live the life they wished
Now that all has happened the older days are missed
A poem for the good days to come and racism to end

When I was a kid
Trees were what I used to climb
Soon I stopped cause I grew up
I feel like i'm enslaved by the time

Used to steal my dad's pen
And get scolded for that mighty crime
Soon the scolding stopped cause I grew up
I feel like I'm enslaved by the time

I did not value the moments
I spent when I was a kid
I would go back to past
If in time I could skid
It's been over a year since I wrote the last poem. I'm not as good anymore, I'm rusted, but I could not let one thing fade away from my life that made me want to feel proud of myself. Poetry. It's not just chain of words, it's chain of powerful emotions and it is a therapy.

Looking back
Those 'good old days'
Are actually great

They were that great
To still bring smile on my face
And joy in my heart
Today
I have short memory but I am able to remember those 'good old days' and I miss them... Most of them are from my high school days. Some are from college days... I'm just glad to have those memories :)

Take me back to the good old days
Where the music had meaning
And the people were happy
Take me back to the days of electropop
And florescent lights
Take me back to the days I should have spent my youth
The days my soul would have found the truth
Take me back to good old days
With 90's fashion and grunge style
Take me back to the good old days
For that is where my heart belongs
Cried the girl born in the wrong time
As she cradled relics that were long gone
From sunset till dawn
The glorious good old days

When kids all got in the bath together
or used the same water one after the other
When kids wore hand me downs whenever
clothes got too small for a sister or brother
Remember...
When kids actually ventured outside to play
with their friends the whole day long
Not play with gadgets in their room all day
which seems both unnatural and wrong.
Remember...
When kids actually did what they were told
well… most of the time anyways.
When they were actually punished if they were bold
and were not long about mending their ways
Remember...
When kids treated their elders with some respect,
took heed of what they had to say;
When the last thing any adult would expect
was to get cheek from kids anyway.
Remember...
When kids did not simply just get their own way
(have parents taken leave of their senses?)
when kids had basic rules they had to obey
or face the consequences
Remember...
When kids got what they wanted when you could,
but had everything they needed
When No was a word every kid understood
and a word they heeded.
Remember...
When kids did not expect to be handed everything;
they knew stuff had to be earned.
Kids doing chores, around the house working
How else would they have learned?
Remember...
The last thing kids need is to be spoiled rotten,
it does them no favours at all
We were not spoiled, or have you forgotten;
And it did us no harm at all.
