Makeup on,
Makeup off.
Beautiful voice,
Raspy Cough.

Modest or bold,
Wears a hijab.
Model-like body,
No six-pack or abs.

Masculine tomboy,
Wears fishnet-tights.
Regardless how we look,
We still have rights.
We Are All Human;

Gender or Wealth,
Religion or Race.

If you disagree,
Then you're a disgrace.

Trapped in these chains where ever I go
even with the key I am not truly free.

I feel like an animal in a cage,
everywhere I go it feels the same.

My brain disagrees but my heart agrees,
that I am a women in a man's world.

No magician could ever escape it
Nor any athlete ever outrun it

No genius could ever outwit it
Nor any man ever buy out of it

It's the only thing that no one wants
But everyone shares as equals

this man,
and this woman.

this man,
and this man.

this woman,
and this woman.

this person,
and this person.

this love,
and this love.

We're here!
No party?
Ha!
Who’s ugly?
Leave your pity
I'm not afraid
Everything’s primitive
New Mother's old
Father's cold
A universe of historic shame
Casting shade
The assertion of intolerance
Blocking righteousness
Grabbing ignorance by the pores
Let infant nails dig for evolution
The bold face of madness
Biting to be truly free
Sanity expands
-ism’s explode
Pushing hearts
Forward
Moon Star Traveler
Be you
Be here - with me
Against hate
One with the human faith
One for love
Each generation hopefully brings us a step forward to ending intolerance.

When I demand equality,
I am reminded that I am a woman.
Just a woman,
soul-packed with strings of
shyness,
weakness
and fear.

But I want to unpack and remove those strings.
I want to be the one I am
" The Real Me ".
the beauty of mine may lie in the makeover
but more than that it lies in being
BOLD, INDEPENDENT and FEARLESS.

Custom cannot wither, nor age enslave
My infinite array of memories.
I came of age upon a wave
Of ideals that anchored
Changes and elders outraged,
Appalling them into rage.
They often responded
With violence, yet we endured.
Even when comrades were shot down,
And protesters run to ground,
The promise of a new world grew in secret,
In the impromptu families in hill towns,
Or the remnants of Haight-Ashbury
And the minds of Lost Boys and Girls unbound,
In the survivors of Kent and Jackson State;
Our dream died not but elected to wait,
And In the choices of all
Not to succumb to servility
Nor women to proscribed maternity.
Equality stayed the rule instead of resignation.
Now, age has slowed but not stopped us
And we reach out across the air,
Teaching young ones, as passionate as we,
To distrust despots, ever serve the cause of liberty.

I stole food
Food to feed my family
He killed a child
A child to sate his vanity

I’m to be confined
And he’s to be freed
To meander and pursue his greed
He is fined— oh right
Fair, for he compensated for the blight!

He has money
He has a soul
I , who is poor is to be stamped upon
Experimented upon and rendered none
For I’m a priceless body
Not a soul
Never a soul..

Crush my dreams
Embrace my screams
Feed on my flesh - there’s glut
And shower with my blood

For I’m not a soul
Never a soul

They claim they’re establishing justice
But how when the rich reigns the poor?
How when I’m beaten to death
And you’re out squandering your wealth

Justice is buried
Deep down under the boots
Surpassing the roots
Lost in the sea lost in the sky
I’m I able to fly?

They cut my wing
I’m no more able to sing..

Look for justice under the sea
Where, you tell me
Under the grave
There I wave..
