mic dropped
going places
rinse repeat
for happy faces
elsewhere
not at home
where i find myself
alone
[to be sung]

If you love your mind just let it go.
If you lose your mind don't worry
It will find you again, eventually.
Trekking across the tundra;
Scaling the icy ridges

Crossing a vale of tears.

At midnight, in the dead of the night,

Your mind will tap you on the shoulder

and say ‘Here you are’!

Sitting all alone in the last place I looked.

While you are merely moonlight,

Pausing to reflect on still black waters:
Make sure your back gate is left unlocked,

The next time you set your mind free.

What occurred to the complacent road,
That rode over an un-tempting *****.
A heavy hold, pulled me back,
I carried a burden, previously lacked.

What occured to my unconcerned soul,
Which inquired of its being un-whole.
My mind gained thought, will lost,
In my journey forward, each step cost.

What occurred to shadow that quietly followed,
It gained depth, its weight was burrowed.
In the brightening sky, path was lost,
What seemed clear, turned obscure.

What occured to my resolute sight,
Which guided me since the inopportune twilight.
Rest before success, burdened time,
Heart longed for that hut left behind.

What occured to that noble dream,
That once oust sleep, have no mean.
End that meant to be cherished alone,
Soured with reminiscence of a face forlorn.

I stopped, stared in the contemplating light,
My path revert as destination acquired sight.
An echo swelled swiftly in my mind,
I turned to gather what left behind.

What occured?
What occurred to me? I cried.

a little poem
can't be more
than personal reminder
that there is still
so much more crap
forgotten in a binder

i have been in deep contemplation these past few days, trying to come up with reasons for what I’m feeling —

but there isn’t anything in particular, maybe i just like seeing you smile, hearing your contentment in laughters, and the tinge of annoyance that your stern voice exudes,

or it could just be you, in its simplest forn.

i miss you, i miss you, i miss you
maybe if i start repeating it over and over again, it’ll lose its meaning

but for now, i wait
in longing,
hoping that maybe one day, you’ll feel the same

Darkness haunches over me
The mountains swallow the obsidian sea
A thick chill weighs heavy on my lungs
Like the sinking night
The ocean with no will to rise and fall
lays still to the weight of time
And I, knees tucked tight,
watch the minutes pass by
contemplating, soul searching
as the calvary draws from the east
Arterial red spears pierce the darkness
Copper ink bleeds from sky to sea
casting colour like rose petals
and cotton candy
to welcome the sun
as it’s light drowns out the night
The mountains retreat like watchdogs backing down
The chill lifts
unfreezing the motionless tide
Lovers take to the long stretch
And so the day begins

discovered on my search today
how murakami and itoi
wrote short stories together
in nineteeneightysomething
and daydreamed of the corners
in tokyo i might never see
again all while amazed and longing
for someplace nifty to myself
