Sydney Victoria Mar 2013
The Nets Hold Our Dreams Like Tangled Bugs,
And The Courts Gleam With Our Ambition,
Beads Of Sweat Form Perfectly On Our Raised Brows,
As We Play With The Attitude A Champion Needs,
We Are Dressed In Black And Blue,
Floor Burn Covering Our No Longer Smooth Skin,
Our Lips Bleeding From The Battle For The Ball,
The Sound Of Screaming Becomes White Noise,
As We Burrow Into The Gym Floor,
Just For One More Medal,
And As We Walk Away From The Courts,
With Our Arms Bruised And Torn,
Red And Raw,
We Smile At Our Dreams Still Lying,
In The Twisted Nets
I Love The Rush Of The Game--And Yep.. I'm A Total **** (Fellow Vballers Know What I'm Talking About)

I Love The Feeling Of Dirt Frosting My Skin,
And My White Pants Staining From Muck,
I Pulled Out My Old Friends Today,
My Cleats, My Glove, And My Luck,
I Slipped On My Sliding Pants,
Ones I Haven't Worn For A Season,
The Hole On My Knee Matched It's Scar,
The One I Am Most Proud Of For Many Reasons,
I Just Had To Trace The Stitches Of My Ball,
The One I Missed All Winter,
I Am So Excited To Plow Myself Between Bases,
And Re-Awaken My Inner Sprinter
For How Much I Love Volleyball, I Love Softball Even More... This Poem Is Not Much Of A Poem, Just My Excitement About The Up Coming Season!

Sea, My Love
Sydney Victoria Aug 2018
I love it when she’s blue,
I love it when she’s gold,
I love it when she’s silver,
I love it when she’s cold,
I love it when she’s quiet,
I love it when she’s bold,
I love it when she’s calm,
I love it when she folds
I love her for her secrets,
I love her for her songs,
I love her for her rights,
I love her for her wrongs,
I love it when she moves me,
When she pulls me,
When she soothes me,
I love it when she’s red,
I love it when she’s gray,
I love it when she’s mine,
I love it when she strays,
I love her for her warmth,
I love her for her stare,
I love her for her depths,
I love her for her care.
I’m in love with ocean. Her beauty, her grace. The secrets she harbors, the life she gives to all creatures. I love the way she holds me & makes me feel free. I am euphoric, I can see her now. No caps because I am truly meek in her presence.

Sunflower,
Don't Die From My Soul,
Sunlight Still Lurks In My Veins,
Imagination Quenches Your Thirst,
Though Your Roots Are Exposed,
I Kiss Every Petal,
To Keep You Alive

Rose,
Don't Die,
You Are The Passion In My Garden Of Me,
Don't Let The Frost Over Take You,
Snowflakes Dance Around You,
Enjoy The Cold

Sunflower,
Oh Sunflower,
It's Always Summer In My Garden,
Let The Showers Of Enlightenment,
Keep Your Petals Smooth And Age Free

*Rose,
Oh Rose,
Rose With Green Eyes,
Stay Strong,
Don't Let The Weeds Overtake You,
You Are Beautiful,
You Are The Pacemaker,
To Anyone Without A Heart,
If You Fail To Survive,
So Will I
This Isn't Very Good But Oh Well!

Trust Issues
Sydney Victoria Sep 2012
I Have Issues,
I'll Admit,
I Have Issues,
Im Trying Not To Get Split,
In Two,
I Love You,
And You,
And You Too,
But That Doesnt Mean I Don't Have Trust Issues

I Am Green Eyed Monster,
No Not Jealousy,
I'm Running On A Wheel Like A Hamster,
I Have Empathy,
But Im A Little Bit Of A Disaster,
I Don't Trust Anyone I Meet,
No Matter What Our Chemistry,
I'm Sorry But I Can't Compete,
Because I Wander Around Hopelessly,
Around The World,
Feeling I Don't Belong,
But I'm Only One Of 3 Billion Girls,
So Maybe I Do Belong

I Was Trusting Before,
I Got Slammed In The Face By An Opened Door,
I Thought I Was Able To Stand By Keeping Busy,
But Honestly I'm Still Dizzy,
I Was Welcomed In,
But My Acceptance Was A Sin,
My Thoughs Fly Like The Speed Of Sound,
I'm No Longer On The Ground,
Oh Poetry,
Let Me Feel Your Therapy,
I'm Sorry For My Issues,
If Your Upset Grab A Tissue,
But Inside I'm Just Afraid I'll Lose You
It's True, I Have Trust Issues:p

Doves Cry
Sydney Victoria Nov 2012
Doves Flying,
Crying,
Dying,
In City Smog,
White Feathers Stained From Human Garbage,
Stained From Society's Words,
White Angels Turned Into Common Rock Doves,
Tears Rolling Down Their Cheeks,
Because They Know They're Lossing Themselves,
Doves Crying,
On The Statue Of Liberty,
Because They Know Freedom Isn't Free,
And They Know,
No One Is Truly Accepted,
Humans Ruthless,
Society Clueless,
Doves Released At Weddings Cry,
Because They Understand That,
The Bride And The Groom Will Both Be,
Heartbroken,
Doves Cry In The Streets,
And In The Sky's,
Wondering Why,
The World Took A Turn For The Worst

"Why Not," They Snickered
Tears Climed Up Into My Eyes--My Mind Reeling,
"****," They Snapped In My Direction,"***** ****."
My Eyes Leveled Onto The Concrete,
My Baggy Clothes Trying To Shield My Body,
From Wondering Gazes,
From Hurtful Words Squirming Into My Heart,
And There He Appeared,
Right In Front Of Me,
His Eyes Cold And Black,
"****," He Murmured,"You *****, No Good, ****"

Sydney Victoria Nov 2012
Don't You Dare Speak,
Your Words Trying To Make Blue Streaks,
On The Monalisa Of My Soul,
Black Graffiti Stains My Wishes,
And Teeth Bare At My Well Being,
Am I Daft?
Or Sane?
My Head Pounding With Lyrics,
About How Cruel Life Can Utterly Be,
Sharpie Crossing Out My Faith,
Paint Vandalizing My Mended Heart,
Rust Dressing The Hinges Of My Heartbeat Itself,
And Golden Irises Reset,
Back To Seaweed Green,
Resting On A Bloodshot Background,
Crayons Scribbling On The Coloring Book,
Of My Dreams,
Making It A Midnight Sky Mask,
Flecked With Miserable Maroon Tears,
Slang Covers My Intellect,
Making It Foggy And Usless,
You Can Thank Society,
For Sculpting My Strength,
From A Slab Of Clay,
Burning It In A Kiln,
To The Foundation Of Life,
I Am Art,
Sculpted From The Earth's Face,
Yet I Sit On A Shelf,
Collecting Dust,
And All Of The Arrogent People,
Doodle On My Shell,
Colors Make An Ugly Mix,
On My Bodies Skeleton,
And What Is Making Me Special,
Is Slowly Drowning,
Underneath A Sea Of Graffiti

Respect
Sydney Victoria Sep 2012
People Say They Respect,
The Stength That I Own,
People Say They Respect Me,
Because It's So Easy For Me To Put Up A Smile,
Respect Is Something You Earn,
Not Something That You Automatically Get,
I've Busted My **** To Be Respected,
But I Am Slowly Crumbling,
From The Alliance's Change In Wind,
I Hate Pretending I'm Perfect,
I'm Human,
You Gotta Respect That,
Do You Respect The Pain?
Do You Respect My Name?
Who Ever Respects Me,
I Respect Them Back,
You Can't Be Respected,
If You Don't Respect,
Let Be Your Teacher,
I'll Teach You The Ways,
The Ways Of Getting Through The Rough Days,
I'll Teach You,
If You Don't Have A Clue,
How To Respect
I Know I Said Respect A Lot, Just Trying To Get A Point Across. There Are Few People I Respect, You Know Who You Are. I'm Tired Of People's Garbage, Take Out The Trash Already...

The Mayan Prophesy
Sydney Victoria Dec 2012
I Was Hoping Today It Would Be Fine,
That The Mayan Prophesy Was Divine,
That We Would Be Saved By A Glowing Light,
I Was Stirring  In My Blankets All Night,
For Curiosity Bubbled Inside,
To Bathe The Spirit In Which I Confide,
Yet The Road To Redemption Is Still Coarse,
Screaming For Wanted Change; My Voice Is Hoarse,
We Still Hold The Bottle To Our Stained Lips,
Holding On To Hope But Losing My Grip,
Today I Wish Humanity Is Healed,
But The Atmosphere Is Starting To Peal,
Why Should I Hate When All I Feel Is Love,
Yet All The Owls Are Killing My Doves
Again Trying Iambic Pintameter! I'm Deathly Afraid Of Owls So That Explains The Last Line

Glass Half Empty
Sydney Victoria Nov 2012
Why Do You Always Have To Hurt Me?
Why Do You Always Have To Think So Negatively?
Why Do You Always Look At The Glass Half Empty?
Instead Of Looking What We Have,
I Guess The Ice Cubes In That Drink,
Make It Hard For You To Think,
Always Complaining That It's Not Good,
Yet You Wanna Go To The Party In The Hood,
Mess Up Your Life,
But Saying You're Making Life Right?
You Have A Past,
But Who Am I To Judge?
I Thought This Would Last,
But Now It's A Life Long Grudge,
Saying You Stopped All This Nonsense With Drugs And ****,
Yet If I Ask About Your Past You Start To Yell At Me,
Criticizing My Beliefs Because They Have No Cross To Be Nailed To,
But Being In This World I'm Starting To Live That Lifestyle Through,
Criticize The Unknown Because You Are Afraid,
Yet You Love Discriminating Because You Think It's Brave,
Not Thinking Twice About Conspiracies,
You Just Don't Think Critically,
Unlike Me You Think We Are A Match Made In Heaven,
When Truth Is All You Want To Do Is Pop Prescription Medicine,
You Don't Think About You're Long Term Negative Affect On Me,
All You See Is My Glass Half Full,
Never Looking At It Empty,
And You Don't Like That So You Strive For Us To Be Equal,
This Romance Is Like A Never Ending Sequel,
Hands Tighten Around My Throat As You Try To Kiss Me,
But After The Fact You Sit There And Just Try To Diss Me,
Trying To Smother Out The Truth,
Letting Chaos Run Loose,
Your Just Another Hand To Help Tie The Noose,
Waiting To Strangle My Inner Being And Make Me Scream Truce,
First And Foremost I Believe Everybody Lies,
And I Will Relate To That Until The Day I Die,
Black And White Frames Try To Swallow My Color,
Making Me A Copy Just Like Every Other,
You're Like A Bill O'Reily Or Maybe A Mitt Romney,
When I Try To Speak The Truth You Always Interrupt Me,
I Don't Mean To Name Names,
But These Are Few Who Bring Us Shame,
For Trying To Think Outside The Box,
Who Put The Key Inside The Lock,
And You Sit There Telling Me How School And My Belief's Are Bogus,
But Who Are Trying To Act So **** Heroic?
When I Soar On A Natural High You Say Im Crazy,
But At Least I'm Not Sitting There With A Glass Half Empty...
Needed To Get That Off My Chest, No Hate About My Views Please...

The Most Exciting Part About The Night,
Was Watching The Milliliters Of The IV Bag,
Count Down From 1000,
Blood Staining My Right Arm,
A Glassy Stare Fogging My Own Vision,
The Bitter Taste Of ***** And Dissapointment,
Was Lodged In The Back Of My Throat,
Thirst Coating The Roof Of My Mouth,
My Body Weak,
The Rhythmic Clicking Of Machines Relaxing,
Almost--Peaceful,
Black Clawing At The Sides Of My Eyes,
Whispering A Lulling Language--Sleep My Friend,
Doctors Poking At My Abdomen,
Nurses Pushing Fluids Through My Veins,
Dyes, Potassium, Water, And Many Medicines,
X-Rays And CAT Scans Went By In A Blur,
As I Slowly Regained My Body
Well Had An Adventure Last Night At The Hospital.

Sonnet X: Genocide
Sydney Victoria Mar 2013
Tell Me, How Much Pain Can One Tear Contain?
What Is It Like To Stare In Hungry Eyes?
What Is It Like To Only Own A Name?
What Is It Like To Feel Cruel Genocide?

Children Watch As Their Mothers Slowly Fade,
Mothers Watch As Their Daughters Slowly Starve,
A Father Watches His Son Go To Trade,
As Tears Travel Down The Gully They've Carved

Haunted Eyes Softly Whisper To The Sky,
Disease Scuttles Through Brittle Broken Bones,
Hours Fill Their Schedule On Which They Cry,
As They Shuffle With Bare Feet On Small Stones

What Is It Like To Own Unearthly Eyes?
Why Does Our World Still Harbor Genocide?

The Warm Yellow In This Freezing Sunrise,
Reminds Me Of The Marigold We Picked,
And The Greyish Brown Of The Dirtied Snow,
Reminds Me Of The Woodticks You Picked Off Me,
The Lights Of These Passing Cars,
Remind Me Of Your Bona Fide Smile,
And The Crows In The Trees Remind Me Of,
The Crisp Mornings On Your Terrain,
And Now I Realize There Is No Word Loud Enough,
No Song Too Masculine Yet Gentle To Wish You Goodbye,
And There Is No Poem Beautiful Enough,
To Lead You Properly To Your New World
Goodbye Uncle Steve.. The Reason Why I Called This Poem "Suspenders Unused" Is Because You Always Wore Them. I Love You, Say Hello To Aunt Petsie Pie For Me <3

Under The October Moon
Sydney Victoria Oct 2012
You Held Me Tight In Your Arms,
The Night Air Nipping At Our Skin,
Our Breath Clouds Of Warmth,
Mixing Underneath The Stars
"I Love You," You Said, Your Hands Meandering,
Up And Down My Spine,
Trying To Keep Me Warm,
In The Frosty Octobor Night
Corn Stalks Gently Grazed Our Jeans,
You Held Me Close,
Perplexing The Lurking Demons,
Warming My Blood,
With Your Lips*
"I Love You Too," I Said Holding Your Shoulders
You Wrapped Me In Your Arms,
Folding Our Souls Together,
Like An Ormagami Crane,
And You Kissed My Cheek,
Our Frozen Fingers Entwined

"Don't Ever Leave Me," You Said Lovingly,
As You Burried Your Face Into My Neck,
And Kissed It Lightly
I Lay My Head On Your Shoulder,
And The Goosebumps On My Skin Faded,
As My Body Enjoyed The Cold

"I Won't" I Murmered,
You Stared Into My Eyes,
And Pulled Me Closer,
Our Lips A Millimeter Away,
You Know What I Like

I Felt Your Breath As You Asked,"What Would You Say If I Asked You To Marry Me?"
Even Though It Was Only 2 Seconds,
The Space Imbetween That Question,
Felt Like Two Hours,
Honestly I Never Wanted That Moment To End

"I Would Say Yes, Why?"
I Could Feel Your Pulse Rise,
And Your Skin Start To Warm

"Because Someday I'm Going To Ask You, And Give You A Diamond Ring, Almost As Beautiful As You"
I Smiled
A Reflection To Yours
As We Sat Under
The Yellowish Cresent Moon

"Then It's A Yes"
I Laughed
My Annoying Kackly Laugh
The One You Love

"Can I Kiss You?"
My Eyebrows Lowered
In Sarcastic Annoyence
But I Giggled

"Fine"
As You Kissed Me
I Smiled

"Please Take My Sweatshirt," You Begged Me
I Noticed My Shivering Body
The Hairs On My Arms Rose
And My Fingers Felt
As If They Belonged To A Dead Person

"Okay" I Reluctantly Said
*You Put Your Sweatshirt Over My Shoulders
And As You Cuddled Me Closer
And Kissed My Lips One Last Time
I Opened My Eyes
The Light From The Moon
Streaked Across My Face
Suddenly I Heard You Whisper
Goodnight
As We Stood On My Doorstep
Goodnight I Replied
Really Really Gushy Again Haha! This Is Not 100% True If You're Wondering || Truly Our Time Together Flies By, I Hope Someday It Will Never End:(

Humans Are More Barbaric Than Any Animal,
Ever Could Be,
We Lie,
We Cheat,
We Harass,
We Play Little Mind Games,
We ****,
Practically Every Form Of Intelligent Life,
Including Our Own,
Nothing Is Ever Good Enough,
Nothing Is Ever Clean Enough,
Nobody Is Ever Talented Enough,
Nobody Is Acknowledged,
For Their Gifts,
Only Brought Down By Others Saying We Aren't,
Good Enough,
I Envy Animals Because,
Animals Are Straight To Eachother,
If They Dont Like One Another,
They Fight,
They Bite Eachother's Throats Out,
They Tell The Other To Leave,
And Never Come Back,
And They Listen,
But In Human Society,
You Have To Be Nice,
And People Put On That Fake Smile,
Tell You How Beautiful You Are,
Turn Around,
And Talk About What A Mess You Are,
You Have To Share With Them,
Invite Them Into Your Homes,
Pretend You Think They're The Most Amazing,
Person In The World,
Sometimes You Have To Be Nicer To The People,
You Despise,
Then The People You Love,
I'm Not Saying I Wish To ****** Anyone,
I'm Just Venting,
Because I Am Sick And Tired,
Of People Lying To Me,
Just Shut Your Mouth Already,
If You Don't Like Me Tell Me!
I Couldnt Care Less,
About Your Opinion,
Human Society,
Is A Mess,
Human Society,
Has Many Jewels,
But They Are Dusted Over,
From The Dirt Of The Morons,
Human Society,
Has No Natural Selection,
To Pluck Out The Idiots,
If You Ask Me,
I'm Tired Of These People Dimming My Sparkle,
And I'm Sure,
Many Of You,
Feel The Same Exact Way
Ahhh Venting:) It's Lovely:) Sorry This Is Much Of Poem, Just Getting Stuff Off My Chest

Congregate In Creamy Daffodil Colored Flames,

In Extravagant Ball Gowns,
Stitched With The Misery They Brought Upon Me,
With Them,
Every Man Which I Have Bawled Over,
Wears A Tuxedo,
With A Withered Rose In Their Pocket,
To Symbolize My Pain,
And A Tie Laced With My Own Tears,

The Party On The Top Floor Too,
Everyone Who Has Made Me Smile,
Dances Erratically,
Singing Along And Laughing,
Though The Demons Beneath Their Feet Houses,
Barbaric--Criminals--Found Guilty Of Heartbreak,

Of A Broken Heart--That May Never Mend,

Kayaks In The River (A-Z)
Sydney Victoria Jul 2013
Abundant With Life The River Stretches Its Body,
Bending And Winding Around The Earth's *****,
Cormorants Swim Happily-Their Wings Tucked,
Diving Into The Clear Water As My Warming Soul
Embeds Itself Into The Folds Upon Her Surface,
Fish Swim In Schools Among The Weeds While
Gators Quietly Lurk In The Darkened Shadows,
Herons Stare Deep Into The River; Spying A Meal,
I Felt So Alive, So Free Over The Turqouise Water,
Jungle Like Trees Waved To Me As I Floated By,
Kayaking Really Soothes The Soul, I Realized
Lifting My Paddle Out Of The Water Then Back In,
Maliable The Water Beneath Me Swirled Between,
Nothingness, And Nobody, Here And Now,
Old And Ancient, Spiraling Where Secrets Are Kept,
Plunging Into Her A Slight Drizzle Disturbed The
Quiet Calm That Lapped Upon Her Cheeks As The
Rain Grew Heavier, While The Sky Broke In Two,
Silent My Kayak Drifted, Following The Currents,
Tugging Me Through The Almost Blinding Rains,
Under The Rolling Droplets My Skin Grew Cold,
Vibrance Of The Water Below Then Warmed My Core,
While I Drifted Back To Shore I Awaited For The
Xenophobic World To Come Back Into My Life,
Yelling Loud To The Heavens My Soul Spoke Of A Wish,
Zealous The World Should Be, Great Spirit,

**Take Them To The River
Yesterday I Kayaked Down This Beautiful River In Rainbow Lake State Park, Florida. It Felt So Freeing--The Rain, The Turquoise Waters, The Animals. Sorry About The End Of This Poem Kinda Falling Apart Haha:)

As Dusk Slowly Grasped The Day In Cold Hands,
Blue Birds Snuggled Into Their Nests Of Soft Hay,
Clouds Rolled In--Tucking In The Frosted Lands,
Ducking Into Sleep Fragile Flowers Waited To Play,
Eager For The Day Robins Closed Their Tired Eyes,
Ferns Sway In A Befuddled Wind--It's Mind Whirling,
Gregarious Crickets Shake Away Their Frosty Ties,
Homesick Linnets Wings Spread--Elegantly Swirling,
Illuminating The Night Sat The Paled Lonely Moon,
Jubilant It Is Though, Upon It's View From The Sky,
Kissable Caterpillars Lounge In Their Cocoons,
Lost In Sleep They Dream Of The Clouds So High,
Mother's Of The Nocturnal World Lead Their Young,
Northward To Play In Wheat Filled Prairies,
Organic Love Loomed Where The Branches Hung,
Promenading Inside A Wind Smelling Like Berries,
Quietly The First Few Drops Of Rain Fell,
Ricocheting Off Of Budding Leaves,
Sweet Mother Earth Caught Everything In Her Spell,
Tonight A Sacred Lullaby Is Whispered By The Trees As,
Untamed Ligtning Struck The Frozen Ground,
Vibrating The Sky Thunder Crashed,
Water Swam Through The Air Creating No Sound,
Xenon and Nitrogen Screamed While They Clashed,

Black And White Beauty For Miles To See,
Yellow Has Drained From Every Bumble Bee,
What Do We Do? Are We Free? Do We Flee?
Everything Is Black--Even The Blue Seas

Flowers Dwindle; Yet There Wasn't A Change,
Our World Is Now Completely Rearranged,
There's No More Money--People Can't Exchange,
It's Gone Now--All The People Were Deranged

The Black And White Is Nothing To Be Seen,
All Those Material Things--Kings And Queens,
Cars, Cash, Even Blood, And Plasma Screens,
There's Even More Agression Towards The Mean!

Black And White Beauty Is All Around Me,
*I Only Say It So I Can Be Free

Race
Sydney Victoria Sep 2012
There Is Only One Race,
The Race Of Reality
There Is Only One Race,
The Race Of Humanity,
Someone's Color Does Not Bother Me,
It Is There Heart That Matters,
They Could Have Skin White As Can Be,
But A Heart That Is Black And Battered

Race Does Not Exsist,
It Was Made By Humans To Create Control,
I Could Be Racist,
But The Only I Color I Judge Is That Of Ones Soul,
I Don't Mind A Headdress,
It's Simply Just Clothes,
Im Tired Of Peoples Heartlessness,
Over What Someome Else Chose,
If Someone Speaks Another Language,
That Is Fine With Me,
English Is Average,
With Words I Don't Know All I Hear Is Beauty

You Should See The Beams Of Hatred,
Towards Anyone Of A Differnet Color,
Good Friendships Wasted,
Or Maybe Even A Lover,
I Don't See Myself As White,
I Don't See Myself A Caucasian,
I Don't See My Self As Light,
I Dont See Myself As American,
All I See Is Who I Am Inside,
I Wish Other People Could See It Too,
I Wish People Could Confinde,
In The Person Inside Of You,
Behind All The Clothes,
Behind All The Skin,
Or Whatever Comes And Goes,
Just The Person With In,
I'm Not A Hippie I'm Just Saying,
People Should Ignore The Faces,
And See What's So Amazing,
Ignore The Races,
And Stop All This Creating
Today At School There Was This Somalian Girl Who Was Sitting All Alone. I Told My Friends We Should Go Sit With Her But They Left And I Sat With Her Alone. We Talked For A Little While Before More Girls Showed Up At The Spot (Also From Somalia) I Sat There And Listened To Them Talk To Her. She Was New To America But Knew How To Speak English Fluently. Her Father Had Been Killed In There Village By A Group (Kind Of Like A Gang, Which There Are Many Of There) And I Thought It Was So Sad... So Many People Discriminate People, When They Don't Go On Behind Closed Doors.. I Just Had To Get That Off My Chest! In My Mind Races Don't Exist.. They Never Have.. And They Never Will.

A Room In My Soul
Sydney Victoria Nov 2012
A Door's Rusty Hinges Screeched As It Is Opened,
Though The Outside Of This Hall Is Ugly,
Paint Chipping,
The Scars Of Screams Entwined In Eggshell Trim,
The Room Which Lays On The Other Side,
Is Full Of Beauty,
Is Full Of Tubes Of Paint,
Some Which Lay On The Floor,
Which Kisses Oak Furnishings,
Some Lay On An Abandon Easel,
Next To A Canvas,
Half Completed,
Created By Shaky Hands

Empty Vases Sit On A Window Pane,
Which Await,
For The Return Of Freshly Picked Wild Flowers,
Awaiting The Return,
Of The Soft Glow Of A Candle,
A Lanturn Perches On A Bookshelf,
Full Of Stained Pages And Ripped Covers,
The Stale Scent Of Memories Cling To Each Chapter,
A Small Handcrafted Stool,
Sits In This Ancient Home,
In The Artist's Heart

The Ancient Smell Of Paint,
Is No More,
Though The Stains Of Blues And Greens,
Are Now Grey As Clay Upon The Floor,
Yet Paintings Dwell On The Off-White Walls,
Some Brilliant,
Others A Hot Mess,
Self Portraits,
Redish Hair Cascading Like A Waterfall,
Down A Slim Collarbone,
Some Of Them The Women Smiles,
Others She Frowns,
Landscapes Of Rolling Hills,
And The Moonlight Leaking Through Coniffer Forests,
Are Stacked Ontop Of Eachother,
And A Mirror Which Stared At The Artist's Face,
And Who Saw Her Take Her Last Breath,
Climbs Motionlessly On The Wall

If You Looked Close Enough,
You Could See Perfectly Preserved Fingerprints,
On The Cracked Glass Of The Window,
As If She Were Longing To Be Free,
As If She Were A Prisoner,
In A Colorful Cell,
A Prisoner In Lockless Cage,
A Prisoner With Flushed Cheeks,
Yet A Face Still Pale,
One Who Longed To Express Herself,
To The Monarchy,
Imprisoned For Creativity,
She Lay In This Room,
Breathed This Air,
Painted These Pictures,
Yet Where Is She Now?
If You Walked Into A Room In My Soul, This Is What It Would Look Like, The Spawning Of Creativity, Hidden Under A "Clueless" Shell... I Love To Paint But I'm Not Very Good.. I Should Probably Work More On My Art:)

As The Second Hand Clicks,
On A Scarred Clock's Face,
The Days Become Shorter,
Breaths Become Abrupt And Shallow

Brittle Leaves,
Crumble Under Quiet Feet,
And **** Branches,
Give Intruders A Silent Kiss
Words Not Even Spoken,
Are Hushed By The Wind

The Cold Air,
Soothes The Stars,
Making Them Looked Refreshed,
Allowing Them To Glitter,
In Glassy Green Eyes

The Atmosphere,
Begins To Thin Out,
Comets Dive,
Though The Surface,
Like Dolphins,
But They Hold An Impossible Promise,
A Wish,
A Secret
A Star Dangles From Her Neck,
A Wish,
A Promise

What Does Autumn Hold?
What Does Winter?
Spring?
Summer?
Will I Be Able To Curl Up In Loving Arms?
Or Will I Be Curling Up In The Snow?
As The Seasons Change, Shall I?
As Summer Dwindles Into Autumn,
Shall I Change With The Seasons?
Shall I Become Brittled, And Weak,
Like The Autumn Leaves,
Or The Decreasing Sunlight?
Or Shall I Bloom Like The Stars,
In Winter's Night Sky

Don't Try To Overthrow Me
Sydney Victoria Sep 2012
Dont Try To Overthrow Me,
This Is My Territory,

Don't Try To Touch Me,
You Fraile,
Cold Hearted,
Tantrum Throwing Annoyance,
Don't Speak,
About The People Who Are Better Than You,
Dont Speak Lies,
Which Only Some Believe

Dont Try To Crush Me,
You Foul,
Demonic Child,
Don't Glare At Me,
I Have The Strongest Stare,
Don't Say You Want To **** Me,
You Would Never Succseed If You Try,
You Are Simply To Weak

Dont Try To Take Over Because,
You Are The Opposite Of The Human Spirit,
You Are The Flip Side Of Incredible,
Trying To Break Through The Wall,
I've Been Forced To Rebuild,
Over,
And Over,
I'm At Full Strength,
And Yet You Try To Break Me Down,
You Make Me Laugh

You're The Omega,
You Misquito,
Constantly Buzzing Around My Ear,
Telling Me What A ***** I Am,
And You Are An Angel?
You Are Demon
You Reddheaded Brat

Shut Your Mouth,
You Disease,
No One Wants You,
No One Wants To Taste The Hate You Hide,
No One Wants To See The Side I've Seen,
At One Time,
You Were Funny,
Bubbly,
Let Me Pop Those Bubbles,
Just Like You Popped Mine

I Am Indecent?
Because I'm Ugly?,
Only In You Crap Brown Eyes,
Tell It To My Face,
Not My Friends,
I'll Break Your Nose,
How Will You Feel Then?

You Are Nothing To Me,
A Waist Of Space,
I'm Tired Of Getting Pushed Around By You,
I Am Your Alpha,
I Have The Power To Hurt You,
Injure You Permanently,
But I Wont,
Just So You Know,
I'm Strong,
Physically,
Intellectually,
And You Are,
The Frost Who Wishes To **** My Rose,
But  Good Luck
The Climate,
Is Getting Warmer
Oh I Was So Angry When I Wrote This Ha

Light & Rebirth
Sydney Victoria Jul 2015
Golden Light Was Poured Into My Eye,
As It Enveloped My Shaking Fingers.
It Wrapped Around My Hoarse Voice,
As Though It Were An Elegant Scarf,
Keeping Me From The Cold.
The Light Found Itself Inside Of Me,
Sweeping Away The Dust Of Despair;
Ridding Me Of The Shadows Lurking
Behind My Heart.
Beams Poured Into My Mind,
Slicing Through The Grime And Grit
Of The Moments Which Chose To
So Selfishly Define Me.
Colors Emerged From My Parted Lips,
The Hues Which Have Been Treasured
Memories Of Autumn And Evenings.
A Metamorphosis Had Occured.
I Materialized From A Gray Husk
With Brilliant, Shimmering Wings.
I Am Radiant.
I Am Jubilant.
I Am Reborn.
When Someone Passes, They Are Reborn Into Something More Beautiful Than We Can Comprehend.

Wings Spread Greatfully,
Giving Way To Sweet Protection,
Then Resurrection

Very Few Hear It

The Queen's Killer
Sydney Victoria Oct 2012
Golden Silverware,
Sits Ontop Of Broken Shards Of Fine China,
A Candle Stick Lays On The Floor,
The Wood Stained With Misery,
Because She Passed,
War Broke Out,
Hearts Being Punctured With Stakes,
The String Of Sanity Starting To Break,
A Rose Picked From The Universe's Garden,
Then Set In A Vase With No Water,
A Watch Ticked Like A Metronome,
Conducting Life's Organized Chaos,
Every Heart Break Orchestrated,
And Every Death A Crescendo,
The Subjects Attacked Without Looking Back,
Taking The Shapeshifter's Life,
Because They Needed To Have An Excuse,
Other Than Being Misuderstood,
To Distroy Her,
More And More Innocent Lives Were Taken,
Just Out Of Fear,
In Daft Decision,
Most Of The Village Was Whiped Out,
And One Of The 13 Left Out Of 350,
Was The Queen's Killer
It's A Little Confusing, But I Was Trying To Tell A Story, That Kinda Relates To Society Today. It's Pretty Crazy U Can Relate This "Information Era" To Medival Times. People Act Out Of Fear And Will Attack Anything Anybody Points A Finger To, Someone Could Be A Real *******, But A Misunderstood Person Can Be Taken Out Just Because They Say They Are The Killer, And If U Have A "Possie" On Ur Side U Are Vertually Invincible... Don't U Just Love Humans?:)

Perfectly Imperfect.
Sydney Victoria Dec 2012
It Was A Warm Spring Day,
In Our Downtown Home,
White Paint Was Lethargically Pealing,
Off The Siding Which Lay Beneath Curling Vines,
I Still Remember Your Smile Daddy,
Your Coal Colored Hair Lingering In The Breeze,
As You Asked Me, "Do You Wanna See?"
I Nodded Not Quite Sure What I Was Going To See,
You Gently Lifted Me Up,
Put Me On Your Shoulders Like You Always Did,
And Let Me Peer Inside A Forest Of Vines,
And What I Saw Both Frighted And Enchanted Me,
Something Completely New,
A Little House Wren Who Cradled Her Eggs,
And Looked At Me,
Her Heart Beating Quickly,
"She's Protecting Her Babies," You Whispered,
"Just Like I'll Always Protect You"
"Hi," I Said And Held Out My Hand,
The Little Wren Flew Away And I Sobbed,
"Why Was It Scared Of Me Daddy?"
"It Was Only Letting You See It's Eggs"
Dad, I Dont Know If You Remember This, But I Do:)

Sonnet XIII: Absence
Sydney Victoria Jan 2015
The Ripe Color Of My Skin Has Perished,
Along With The Wide Smile I Once Bore,
Music In My Soul Which I Once Cherished,
Has Fallen Flat And Crumbled To The Floor

The Sweet, Joyful Sun Has Dissipated,
The Flowers Within My Heart Have Withered,
My Mind Has Never Been Vindicated,
My Green Eyes Clouded With Blue Of Blizzard

The Autumn Leaves Are Ragged And Soggy,
As If They Wanted To Mimic My Lips,
The Moaning Voice Of The Breeze Is Groggy,
As It Caresses The Earth's Swinging Hips

O, I Remember The Smile I Wore,
Although, I Recall It Being A Chore
Absence of color,
Absence of inspiration,
motive,
and
mind...

Missed you all.

Never Forget
Sydney Victoria Apr 2014
"What is your name?"

Her Dark Eyes Reminded Me Of The Ocean At Dusk. They Were Dark, Deep, And Endless; Harboring Many Secrets.

"My name is Sydney."

My Lips Pealed Back Into A Smile Even Though Her Expression Was Quite Puzzled.

"Sydney?"

She Smiled.. The Sweetest Smile I Have Ever Seen. She Turned To Her Friend Who Had The Same Dark Eyes. He Smiled Too. The Corners Of His Eyes Morphed Into Sharp Points As His Plumb Cheeks Stretched Upwards.

"We shall give you a new name."

She Turned To Him.

"What shall we name her?"

More Of Their Friends Gathered Around Them.

One Boy Approached The Group Which Had Congregated Around Me.

"Let's name her Maudie."

"Yes! That is perfect. Do you know what that means?"

She Softly Stroked My Hair As Her Dark Eyes Locked Onto Mine.

"It means Rose. Beautiful Rose."

I Smiled, My New Friends Watched As She Took My Hands.

"Maudie... Don't Ever Forget That This Is Your Name. Never Forget Who You Are."
I Do Not Know How, But She Pealed Back Every Layer Inside Of Sydney, And Managed To Find.. Me, Now, I Do Not Know The Spelling Of My Name. I Wrote It How It Was Pronounced.. I Will Never Forget..

Aspiration of Emancipation
Sydney Victoria Feb 2015
O, My Creator, Deliver Me From These Inquisitions,
Emancipate Me From These Wretched Oppositions,
Free Me From The Chains Of My Weary Disposition,
Envelop Me Within The Folds Of Your Holy Apparition

The Sun's Light Dwindled Along The Horizon,
Darkness Bruised The Ledges Of The Sky,
Summer's Vegetation Recoiled And Fossilized,
Within The Dark Soil's Crumbling Underlie

O, Glorious Divine Being, Act On My Requisition,
Extricate My Soul From It's Appalling Malnutrition,
This Tattered Mind Is A Degenerating Composition,
Let My Spine Sprout Wings To Carry Me To Redefinition*

Stars Emerged From The Depths Of The Heavens,
Holes Filtrating The Stale Air Circulating In Slime,
Oozing From A Fatal Virus They Referred To As Time
The Beauty Within The Physical World Will Set You Free. I Find My Salvation Within Nature.

It Doesn't Matter Who Or What You Believe In... As Long As You Feel You Are Connected To A Divinity Outside Of Yourself Which Gives You Hope, Love, And Light. I've Been Struggling With This Lately, But I Need To Realize, This Is Who I Am. So Please Forgive Me, My Creator, For Succumbing To These Painful Inquisitions.
