But
I'm told I'm talented, beautiful, amazing, smart.

Told I'm a goddess, way ahead of others, easy to talk to.

But all that doesn't matter, because I'm also told I'm a *****.

jackie
a flicker of a star
a glimmer of the moon
a fragment of love
a remnant of hope
a shred of picture
a sliver of memory
never to come back
because you left
us
to be in the pearly but
twisted
galaxy
you left
me
to be in the
star-speckled
heavens
i will miss you
when
no one else
does.
love you sam !!

i guess i always wondered
starting at the age of seven
why it was so easy to cry
but
so hard
to
breathe
"take a breath" is harder than you think

If there was a better half of me
It could only be you and no one else
Don’t you know I am my best
Only when you’re next to me?

Addiction

Mansi
He laid there seizing in pain
Because of an addiction
Gone wrong.

You could have said,
How can we help you get better?
You could have said,
We are family and
We are here for you.

Yet you said nothing.
You just laughed at his pain.
You ridiculed him as if
His pain was not worth
Your attention.
I wanted to dedicate this poem to my uncle. He is struggling with his addiction. But this is still some of my family members' view about him.
