Multiple choice plus open response =
Teacher cares, out there among the English
Mathematics, fractions to imaginary i

Anything can happen any time, I mean
Mass killing--public school, movie theater,
Post office when every mother wears a gun
Yet happiness permeates like CO2 + sunlight

Photosynthesis + electricity = burning bush
Hot tea, hot shower pleasure perfect rest
Early to bed, no more lies, complexity
Poetry about history, i.e. Wolfowitz

As for non-fiction, most things qualify to know
Astrobiology, search for LUCA, FLO
Minerals on Titan, organisms on Enceladus
Divination on Iapetus, peace on Earth and Tethys

Volcanoes and tsunamis, Big Red One and Private Ryan
Don't stay up late, take your vitamins
Sin and crime being nothing more than
Mental malaise, imbalance. Love and compromise

Tolerance, practice worksheets, brilliance
Prejudice and superstition, Tha's a wrap
Nothin doin, ain't gonna happen, freedom's when
Yes is mostly a blessing and No is always an option

Have you ever looked up and thought about
The life that could be beyond this surface?
Below the ice, our geysers spring and sprout
But that blue planet seems like the furthest

How many years span between our bodies?
When will our wandering finally wane?
Magnificence is what we embody
Our observers serve us by feeling pain

Pain associated with ignorance
Of what causes them to wonder, wander
'Tis this that makes them make an inference
Our meeting will be that which is fonder

Well, Friends, I don't know if the day will come
But my heart longs for them like thirst to ***
I'd love to just see the day that we actually know there's life outside of this blue planet

My love for you,
Slips beyond the bounds of this earth,
Coating every inch, of every acre of land
Your feet might tread,
Before ascending to the heavens
To merge with your love
Amidst the wonders of the kosmos.

We dance upon the moon,
Bouncing and twirling,
But we don't tarry.
We blast off
And crash down on Mars.
And we lie together
Upon the cold red sands,
Let the wind whip past,
Spraying us with tiny particles.
Then we will smash right through the asteroid belt,
Bashing through anything that crosses our path.
We will watch the billion year storms of Jupiter,
Roiling and churning in magnificent patterns,
As we hold hands, and ice skate, on the surface of Europa,
Gliding together, in the kaleidoscopic light.
Off to Enceladus we will fly,
To witness the boiling geysers,
And watch as the scalding fluid turns to snow,
Adding a shower of sparkling crystals
To Saturn's brilliant rings.
We'll Swim in the methane sea's of Titan,
And kiss in the clouds, as we ride the storm currents.
Then we'll end our evening
On the surface of Triton,
And make love beneath the planetary glow,
Of the blue and white marble of Neptune,
Lighting our passionate embrace,
With a dim azure radiance.
The red of our lust combines,
And a purple luminescence releases from the surface,
As pulsing rhythm increases,
And we explode into one billion beams of light.

Reforming as we hurtle back
To earth, to our bodies,
To our bed, to our love, to us.

Earth, Bodies, Bed, Love, Us...

All the wondrous sights and sensations of the universe,
Are but minor miracles, compared to these five things.

the
night full bloom
where
we

the
enchanted
Enceladus moon
yet
every star

the

looking forward
joyous tears
filling up my insides
as if the ocean abyss
isn’t full enough
over running my thoughts
rain from the darkest sky
sparking
angled light from
Enceladus
special complete reflection
brightest Luna Goddess in our solar system
reaches with ease
into the darkest part of my soul
warmth provided from a frozen rock
hurling around my celestial body
feeling you in the deepest part of my heart
touching me
magical tentacles
hiding in your puff of smoke
brilliance shining through
potent power
making flowers grow on the sea floor
coral enjoying their view
imaging swimming there
bliss on ecstasy
projection of a lucid dream
mermaids circling under the magic
universe whispering
find her
open arms waiting
like a beacon in the night
I wrote this while I was eating out last night. When the waitress handed me a bill with a heart drawn in the middle I quickly scratched myself sitting there while she was standing. Crescent moon floating above her head while sunshine ☀️ was radiating above mine. While a bold heart floated in between us. Deja vu of a precious smile

if it all goes wrong
we can all move to Saturn
sure, it’s a gas giant,
so if that goes wrong
we can move to
Titan and Enceladus.

no angst, no despair,
no existential fear and
most importantly, no Karens.
maybe there are undiscovered
frozen glaciers of oreo milkshakes
out there in the universe.

there are no dead ends,
no places you don’t belong in,
no absence of a friend.
do not be scared of growing up,
there are infinite years to spend,
just 16 candles, in a universe so vast.

good books, moments, coffee blends,
conan gray songs, minecraft and games.
time is in your hands, clocks don’t melt.
oll is well that ends well,
we can all always move to Saturn,
the universe belongs to you, my friend.
happy birthday, ollie
Orion has my eyes.
or rather, his belt
does (like
        what happens when you
cross your eyes in the mirror
        and two becomes four
        becomes three if you strain
        just enough)
and maybe that’s narcissistic of me
but our first kiss let me see
your eyes instead.

As if the geysers
on Enceladus
are whispering
snowfall in my ear
I can hear the morning
rustling of my blood
and yours.

Our hands will build
the other with smooth stones
while Orion breathes above.

Staley Yelnats in my mind

I wish that I was not death phobic
I hope you treat me knid

Enceladus might have life
We may not be alone

My children sleep; my brothers too
Poems on my cell phone

so much internal emotion
may I touch the eternal ocean?

the Pacific near Seattle’s Space Needle
the Atlantic as I watch St. Aug’s people

Kowloon Bay in bustling Hong Kong
Stockholm’s Baltic where we wander along

And now Highwater on far Enceladus
What will future exoplanets have taught us?

Water means possible life
Could my grandson have an alien wife?

Yes, Bob - time itself a mysterious ocean
I pray courage and a sailor’s devotion

Cast off from the comforts of shore.
Discoveries before Nevermore!
