"See If I could love
Don’t you think that I’d love somebody?
If I could trust
Don’t you think that I’d let you touch me?
Teach me to love
I hope there’s still hope for me
‘Cause I wanna love
I wanna love"

-Rudimental ft Emili Sande
Cause I've been listening to this on repeat, they're from my ends and they came along with the type of music I was craving for, for a long time. Great beats, great lyrics, great band.

I don’t do yoga, never tried Pilates
Not many people want me at their parties
Tryna find my place, some place, oh I, oh I, oh I
And I drink a little more than recommended
This world ain’t exactly what my heart expected
Tryna find my way someway, oh I, oh I, oh I

[Chorus:]
See, whoa, c’est la vie
Maybe something’s wrong with me
But, whoa, at least I am free, oh, oh, I am free
Yeah, whoa, c’est la vie
Maybe something’s wrong with me
But, hey, at least I am free, oh, oh, I am free

If you ask the church then I am no believer
Spend Sundays asleep I'm just another dreamer
Still tryna find my home sweet home, oh I, oh I, oh I
And I guess I ain’t too good for money neither
I got two left feet, no, I'm no Jackson either
Just tryna find my way someway, oh I, oh I, oh I

[Chorus:]
See, whoa, c’est la vie
Maybe something’s wrong with me
But, whoa, at least I am free, oh, oh, I am free
Yeah, whoa, c’est la vie
And maybe something’s wrong with me
But, whoa, at least I am free, oh, oh, I am free

Just tryna find my home sweet home, sweet home, sweet home, sweet home,
I drink a little more than recommended
'Cause this ain’t exactly what my heart expected

[Chorus:]
Whoa, c’est la vie
Maybe something’s wrong with me
But whoa, at least I am free, oh, oh, I am free
Yeah, whoa, c’est la vie
Maybe something’s wrong with me
But, whoa, at least I am free, oh, oh, I am free.

Whoa, c’est la vie
Maybe something’s wrong with me
Whoa, at least I am free, oh, oh, I am free
Whoa, c’est la vie
Maybe something’s wrong with me
Whoa, at least I am free, oh, oh, I am free.
I don't know why this song speaks to me but... It so does...

No.
Not ornamental,
more fundamental.
Not sentimental,
but rudimental.
And when I wear it
it's very much an intentional
statement of who I am,
how I live
and who I worship.
So, no,
not simply pretty,
but pretty much essential.
The crucifix or the cross can be a fashion statement or a stronger statement of faith - you choose.
i have seen a brown tardis

sitting on the rooftop

now a green one

red and purple lipsticks

walk hand in hand along the boulevard

unaware of what lurks atop the roofs

and in each dwelling lives a cat

called rudimental fish tails

who ask themselves

what did the Berlin orchestra do

during the war

Seven men who carry a burden on their back
the sins of their fathers who adequately lack
ability to tackle tempting earthly things
a heavy load is born and no solace does it bring

The first is Lustful Harry who desires sins of the flesh
never will he marry or nurture babes to nest
his needs are physical and he knows no other life
lustful thoughts and deeds only bringing strife

Gluttonous Georgie Porgy eats his way through cakes
gorging on sweet meats and plenty of fat he makes
drinking and eating all day and through the night
much too fat to walk and much too slow to fight

The third is Greedy Greta who never has enough
she hoards and always wanting more and more stuff
never being satisfied, gaining is her only plight
possessing everything fills her thoughts day and night

Lazy Larry likes to live life horizontal
lying on the coach or in bed is rudimental
his feet elevated never going anywhere
idle and slothful never moving from his chair

Wrathful Wally stirs up anger in his veins
always moody, his happiness is in chains
vengeful and hateful is the monster he's become
indignation and displeasure means he never sees the sun

Envious Enid resentful toward others
green are the colours of her lonely bed covers
jealous of her neighbours and envious of her brothers
her goal in life is ****** as she never quite recovers

The last is Proud Priscilla who has enormous self worth
dignified and haughty, excessively procured
too high and mighty to accept the hand of charity
inordinate self esteem amidst much insincerity

A myriad of inscription
The bereaved, the monumental stone
The moss, the forgotten
The unforgettable misconduct

"Here lies, the carcass of a man,
Mistreated and misread,
A haunting hollow cadaver,
Put to rest, hereby a pest."

When the bell rings sephia
He was a standing stone man
Treading the black ooze of norms
Walking, swimming
Breathing and drowning

"I am not a *****,
Not a ***** of eyes
Take me as I am,
A belittled man in a straightjacket."

"I promise one thing,
Not an eternal curiosity,
But a happiness
Inside this monochromatic eyes."

They cut the jacket
Releasing a specter, the blue one
Which they had, they should
"The book told us to" they said

Thus, the story ends
Implying the rudimental humanity
"Bound by fate,
Parted by human."
The two last line etched in gloom.
A burial ground for mistakes and rejects.

O soloing beautiful soul!
Promise me, to join me
in this solus course of
life.

My rudimental nature
calls out for my jovial
motto to execute the
internal roots of its
belief system.

It is not possible unless
I move on. Although, it has
many phases, but it is still a
pain to carry a greyly heart
with its rosy longingness.

Help me to never look back
again! I wish even if I do,
then let me not get abandoned
by its faith for feeling the peace
of where I am today!

At some point
Between birth and now
I became
The primary architect
Of my life
Shaping the scope
Of my reality
Out of clay
And illusion

 it was firstly
My parents
Good natured
In the rudimental senses of
Love and hope,
Connection
I'd suppose they did
A fair job
With their interpretation
Of practiced methods
And results
Providing me with the ability
To assume my mantle
As chief captain
Of my growth
And direction

When the position
Changed hands is
Inconsequential
The only thing of import
Is that now I
Must master my own Sense of
Realistic satisfaction
To become happier
With less and less
While desiring
More and more

Such is the nature
Of my occupation
That I shall never be rid of it
I'll carry my torch
Into the night
Illuminating the darkness
Searching for
The shadows of discovery.

I will carve from marble
This monument so long
In the making
And recognize my success
Even if I
Am the only one
To marvel at it.
