Tough craft, a gift to your soul,
Lest you'd shoo me away like before.
Hearts abound always right there,
Let you rest with the breadth of my hair.

First, tuck my meek attempts to rest,
Ensure, love ensues, it's for the best.
Rock hard path looms, awaits,
The only help I have is a troubled rake.

Reeks of risks, downtrodden deeds,
You know it ends with one end on your beak.
How will you survive another blow?
Your rusty steeled skin, it just shows.

Pressed lips,
I kissed.
Warm touch,
I missed.
Cold nights,
you dreaded.
Cold nights,
I held.

Your lips,
not here.
Your skin,
unclear.
Cold nights,
I shiver.
Cold nights,
Forever.

A tug, a shrug, a tap to your soul
I know you don’t need it but I’ll give you my all
A kiss, a thought, a soft press against your lips
You said you didn’t like it but it should last for a bit

Remember when I told you “If you want it you can have this”
I meant “If you want it then keep it but never return it in pieces”
But I guess I had it coming, I’m partly to blame
I should have labeled it “Fragile. Does not breakeven”

I know you love your freedom, who doesn’t? But please stay
I can even act like we’re not together, just say you love me even today
When you left I was in ruins, both body and soul
I guess that’s why they name storms after people after all

And there she was, quiet and still as a tree,
Yet one such as a lioness, she was mighty and free.
Then one man hoped to tame such a majestic creature,
With great woe he realized freedom is her.

Joey and the gang invited me for some bowling after our shift.
I was just about to put on my teal shirt when suddenly
I heard two titans exchanging blows beyond a field made of cotton.
This was the most action I've seen in a while.

In a matter of seconds the land was engulfed with familiar shadows.
Audiences were enthralled, sweating, setting each other on fire.
The armies of heaven are coming soon, I shouldn't go to work
And besides, traffic will go from worse to worst at best. Looking like machines dry ******* each other.

Elves start tiptoeing on my roof when titan A landed a right hook on titan B
Caught a glimpse of my feline companion bolting towards the couch.
I started heating water and mixed it with my teabag afterwards.
I let this paper made of mom's warm hugs throw themselves around me.

I sat beside the window and watched the contestants race each other to the finish line.
I find peace in their chaos. I find comfort in their pain.
Watching the Earth get rejuvenated also heals my rusted body.
This is God's best creation for a weary traveller like me.
This is obviously a bad advice. Go to your work, guys. Don't be like me ditching work just to watch the rain fall lol.

She was carefully crafted to be fragile but choose to be a diamond over a coal.
Her skin reminds me of bed where I can be both vulnerable and secured.
A place to rest my head.

She may not know it but to me
her hair smelled like home on a summer night.
Her hands were so small yet when she holds mine,
she holds my whole world along with it.

She loves cats, vintage cameras, Ed Sheeran, the beach
road trips, the rural life, Harry Potter, of course she's a potterhead
These are the things that bring color to her.
Then fireflies emerge from their slumber to gather around her.

If I were to paint just her eyes I'd get a night sky
And in it lies her vast number of quirks in which,
more often than not
I find myself lost.
Her voice echo with melodies beyond what I could comprehend
But this is love, not logic.
I believe I was not meant to understand her.
I believe I was meant to love her.

I hear the birds singing to the tune of the Earth's breath
Sun's angels descending, purging my room of creatures
That appeared since that giant beach ball ran and hid behind the sea
These events unfolded repeatedly for several days and in my dreams
I see nothing, hear nothing, feel nothing but could remember remembering everything.

My eyelids jumped off of my wide eyes and hit the floor
And I, too, jumped to that hole where Alice once did
Only to wake up feeling void as if a crane forcibly penetrated itself
To any hole it could find on my body making its way to my head
And rip out the films of my brain like a heathen worshipping his false god.

You see, what happens in wonderland means as much to me as
A thin thread of hope means to a war refugee
However, despite all this, there was one time I remember exactly what happened
I was flying, "YES!" I shouted. My thoughts pulled out his gun and shot me down
I hear the birds singing to the tune of the Earth's breath.
I wrote this poem when my anxiety got so strong it even invaded my sleep.
