A change of roads brought her here
Took her reason for a while
Left her dreams lead the way
Thinking wishful day by day

Countless clouds, starry skies
passed her by during night
Shiny moon was her friend
When she dreamed with delight

She wondered life seeing leaves
growing back on the trees
Even naked they were bold
Fighting back through the cold

Lonely rivers were her heroes
Using sun to survive
Endless droughts could not stop them
Finding way to revive

If only humans could be like them
Crying Earth said one day
There is nothing to be afraid
When love leads the way

He met her
and all the wars
inside him grow silent.

He loved her
and that's when he realized
she's the only thing
worth the pain of
****** hands, broken bones and bruised skin.

Despair is a tight suit to wear
Even inhaling is restricted
Lungs imploding from the weight
Not of happiness or hate

Void of feeling, I'm reeling, then kneeling
Family and friends offer comfort
I just brush them aside
How can I let anyone inside?

Dare I end this night with slumber
Before this fear can delight
I must will the sun to rise
For there isn't much hope at the end of a rope ...
Really just trying to rid my gripping despair tonight ... uggghhh!

Flowers

Pass me the vase, will you dear
I've picked some flowers to place in it
They are purple, yellow, white and red
Don't they just make you smile

I will place them by your bed
So when you retire for the night
You won't miss the beauty
That's painted on their faces

Take a moment, will you
To appreciate their worth
Lean in close and take a sniff
Their fragrance is most genuine

And as you wake, remember
I've placed those flowers there
For you to enjoy and adore
If only for a season

My heart hurts for the girls wishing to be done.
But mostly it breaks for the innocent one.

Crying over the boys who dragged her down.
She's trying so **** hard not to drown.

My head pounds hard like a fist knocking on a door.
I'm feeling the sting as I sink to the floor.

Broken and beaten is all I can feel.
Wishing this whole thing wasn't even real.

I realize I am too falling for a boy.
Who's been using me for the sheer purpose of joy.

My stomach is hurting like I'm going to be sick.
It's like he's a team captain and he gets his first pick.

I guess I should be lucky I was his number one choice.
But I can never stop hearing his deep raspy voice.

The buzzing in my ear never disappears.
It's as if I'm living my worst fears.

Soon I begin to understand the pain.
I understand why people are in love with the rain.

One thing is promised, to me it's a fact.
I will be ****** if I ever turn back.

She gazed out long and far,
Past half closed curtains
And dozing, docile cars.
Witness to a world double glazed
Dampened by a passing rain.
Sound drowned still by fragile,
Stained glass pane.

Skies lay grey, like every other day,
Shrubs shrug and trees sadly sway.
She feels for the trees,
(And to an extent the shrub)
They're not so different from you or I.
We all plant roots, grow, love?

Thoughts disturbed by a startled dove,
Flew the coup, done, had enough,
Rose as Icarus toward the sun.
Basked in light of new found freedom.

Never heard the hunters gun.

The days are getting shorter
The nights are getting longer
Time to rest my heart a little
Onward to the next chapter, my dear

Fallen from grace
An angel wakes up in a field
Questioning its origin
Who am I?
She finds the road
And meets some nice people
Who weren't so very nice.
Battered and bruised
On the side of the road
She decides who she wants to be.

**I will be the STRONG
I will never again be weak.
Although I cannot remember my past,
My future will be great.
If anyone shall try to beat me,
I shall **** them where they stand.
Because I am no longer filled with light,
In this dark, decrepit land.
