There is is a slim line
Between an idiot
And somebody with an awkward sence of humour.

(An appropriate first phrase).
- (An appropriate rejoinder).
- (Weather or whatever else to keep the conversation going).
- (A polite excuse to finally end the misery).
- (A mutual promise to meet sometimes soon, when the weather or whatever else is better).
(Lot of drinking).

The harshest reality
I have to face
Is in my mirror.

I'm not going back in time
To fetch you,
Hurry up.

I was sleeping
With your shirt on
While she was
Sleeping next to you

There you sit
alone again
as I make my way over

Reaching out
to a cold touch
I've only known as familiar

My normal response
as I retract is
my heart isn't made
for you lover

Yet here I sit
With you again
Like I don't know any better

Won't you some day
Want to fuel the fire
Not drown me in ice surfaced water

Or will you watch as I fade
in your dark isolated space

I started writing poetry,
Because I liked a girl

I wasn't sure if she liked me back
And insecure of the things I lack

My poem made her blush and smile
So I've been writing poems for a while
