Windows Down

I run my fingers through my hair to tame it
The wind is a little rough but I don't mind
With my windows down, a chill isn't going to stop me
from enjoying this sky,
from singing this song.

Or maybe I'll keep quiet instead,
soak it all in.

I could fly, you know
float through the roof
kiss the blue, fade to orange
I bet it feels soft
texture of a velvet petal.

I'll rub it between my fingers,
Then watch it sail away.
I wrote this after driving home and watching the sunset. Constructive criticism is welcome!

Louisa Coller
Mutual respect,
Distinguished taste,
Distinct and directed.

Mysterious fate,
Promises made,
Laid beneath the bed posts.

Roaring heart,
Fueled with flames,
But the fire went out.

Pleasured faces,
Darkest temptress,
Tears in my eyes.

Lie through hope,
Plead and beg until,
The words are too much.

The flowers have fallen,
Summer is ending,
You sewed my lips shut.

Dying petals adorn the sidewalk
They're varying pigments document life's varying stages of leaving,
Thwarts drafts of wind, their nature
to revel in my gaze
Not in act of personification,
They are not the object of attraction
No,
But a messenger to the careful stepper,
“Look up.”
What do you see?

and while I claim to be free
to soar over these fairytale castles
into bigger dreams, better things
some part of me still dwells here
and begs—would you still have me?

I miss you like the December earth
Misses the sunlit rays on a cloudy day
Cold for you I yearn each dawn
And churn and burn as the aching Pacific waves
A crashing hope upon wishes bent
At 11:12 my world set straight
And all that a man can do is wish
That this will be the fated day
You walk into my life
      And stay
A storybook demands this stop. As Hollywood would guide me down the inevitable plot. But as for me and my house, I wait and burn for a deeper love.

Ick, screens are so shallow. LOL.

Sins

Sins, bites on your conscience
          never to your convenience.
       No salvation, No revelations.
               Unblessed the lucky
       bottomless becomes your destiny
and darkness laments, it’s quite cloudy
     wavy timelines, weary crimes
                   Brooking our doom
                  creating thy tomb
                   as deaths looms.
this was me playing with words. Yet as always there is hidden truth and meaning behind my play. I guess this is me cursing to those who are lucky enough to have sinned and get away with it. As in every truth, sins is also subjective to survival, so we should be careful who to blame.
