We got in a fight
You are mad
I guess I should feel sad
But in fact
I'm kind of glad.
I have no idea what to actually title this so . . .

I'm a symptom of life
I cry when it rains
And my mind is wet.
I write when I die
Each emotion
Larger than life.
Nothing can make
You love me,
Like I want
You to.

Even then,
It's a struggle to define.

Being as I am.

Why do we dream the things we do?
Is it because deep down, we wish it true?
That life were a fairy tale, that we could fly?

I'd have to say no, that's not the reason why.
The dreams we receive are messages to decipher,
They are warnings against our uglier desires.

To fall prey to your dreams would be a tragedy,
It would lead you astray and quite happily
Cause you to create you're own catastrophe.

Dreams are less fairy and more a cautionary tale,
Be vigilant, watch for the warnings that are veiled.
I had a dream last night that I woke up smiling from.
It was warning against having too much fun..

they told me
it would be too late
to see the midnight stars

and they told me
not to wait because
the stars would never change

and they shamed me
when i did not budge
but sat with my friend Hope

yet now i am grown
and perhaps i should tell them
that at midnight
the stars proved them wrong

We figure it all out then what do we do with it?
Carry it in our pockets waiting to find others who also have it.
We do not own this, nor does anyone lack it.
Everyone has their own sense of it.
You can find this in the broken,
And resting within the successful
It lays on streets of a busy city,
in the golden meadows
in our own reflection.
In the stillness,
in the silence,
in the chaos,
in the noise.

Bowedbranches
Back to bed again
Ive paid my dues
Waited countless hours in this
Half state
To ascend to higher realms
Yet i remain wide eyed
And worried
Counter parts ive wished to cast out
But havent found out how
push defeatism aside
Horizons rise
And set in these moments
While i convince myself
Who's body
I belong to
Out of the distance
Whispers slither in
Saying
"Forget what you know"
A shoulder, the one you cry into
A hand, the one you hold
A knee, the one you lean on
A spine, the one that makes you strong
A smile, the lips you kiss
A voice, the one you miss
A soul, the kind that goes to heaven above
A heart, the one that heals and makes you feel loved
