He is her full moon,
he casts a shadow of protection
over her night-after-night,

He is her daylight,
outshining the sun,
unlike the sun he is there
day-after-day;
he is her handsome knight.

He is more
than amazing,
more spectacular
than any perfect night sky,
much brighter
than any constellation,

Her beautiful man,
she gazes at him
with total adoration.

Day-after-day,
night-after-night,
her handsome man,
the love of her life,

Yesterday,
today,
tomorrow--forevermore,
his proud loving wife.

He was nothing less
Than everything,

Her entire universe,
Not leaving out anything.

He was in
Her every thought,

In everything good
That she ever sought.

He was her every breath,

Connected to her heart and soul,
He would live-on to remain this way,
Beyond her death.

Destined
To be side-by-side,

Hand-in-hand,
Together, they signed-up
To take-on life's
Scary rollercoaster ride.

Growing,
Living,
Knowing,

An endless love,
They both shared,
To eachother,
They never stopped showing.

They climbed mountains,
They enjoyed the views,

They walked through fires,
Together,
They shared
Both good and bad news.

They rode through storms,
They went on adventures,

They gazed at sunsets and sunrises,
Together,
They partook
Many daring ventures.

They were born to be together,
To be as one, connected,

An honest love without measure;
A rare, precious love
They both dearly protected.

Still Crazy
{•}

unwanted love

we, the human counting crows, tracking everything, steps, bank balances, heartbeats & especially,
those dastardly calories that need burning

pre yoga, her morning banana,
she takes but a half, and looks to unload the balance on a sucker/victim in the vicinity because a whole
is greater than a half,
and God knows a whole could make you fatter!

fully prepared for her desperate supplication, reply so quick,
"you're forcing me to eat unwanted calories,"
she crestfallen,
near to weeping from guilty feelings,
a crime so heinous!

but more than ready, added words, prepared years ago:

but to save your life gladly give you any body part,
step in front of a vehicle, for a certain somebody,
you may know, to preserve, life and liberty,
put up with your inanities, border-lining on insanities,

answer your questions before you think of them,
and will restrict my singing to sole showers in the basement
but never will I eat for two, that so undesirable,
in the name of love

to which she came to my bedside, kissed my nose, whispering,
"thank you for my life saving,"
while stuffing my mouth with said weapon,
"thank you again,
please don't make this into a poem"*

somedays you just ain't gonna win,
you see she loves me too well
and knows
my answers before I do...
in every still crazy story, a few grins of truth,
some crazy, and sometimes tears,
and occasionally some banana
... are like seeds.

They are meant to be scattered!

My thoughts are best scattered anyway...

I MUST go to bed! G'night all!

nora
There is a place called empty
a claustrophobic room
Inside it tries to tempt me
my soul it will consume

It preys on broken people
whose hearts facile to break
their bones were made feeble
their brains made opaque

There's a depth beyond this place
it's relatively hard to find
your world you must embrace
for you to free your mind.

nora
I go about my mornings
covered in the fog of my paranoia
drenched in the rain of my worries
enveloped in the snow of my bitter cold thoughts.
(strained by the sun
aching for the moon)
Contemplating staying put and doing nothing at all
(That sounds good to me)
I pick up my morning coffee
(Old habits don't die without a fight, I’ve grown to know)
I’m fine for a few hours
The fog slowly dissipates
The putrid smell of rain still lingers on my skin
The snow melting into a warm dampness in my mind
(an uncomfortably familiar feeling)
sticking to the hard to reach surfaces.
My day drudges forward, with ease.
(not for long)
-------------------
By noon time the fog circles back
I’m instantly freezing.
The sun is playing tricks on me
telling my body I’m in imminent danger.
She hides away beyond the fog, like a coward
taking no prisoners.
silently applauding herself for she, again, successfully,
burns me.
-------------------
By mid-day she's on a rampage
forcing me back into the storm,
I’m drowned out by the rain
(I fear him most of all)
(he reminds me of nothing but my deepest fears)
Loneliness
Bitterness
Happiness
Weakness
They capture me and hold me tight.
I’m stuck.
---------------------
By evening time
I try to level with her.
I’m choking on the thick fog. It’s taking over.
I’m shaking now.
(I can’t breath, I’m going to die)
I start to calm down, with no warning.
All of a sudden, the air enters my lungs again.
The sun, still kind, in her light, asks for forgiveness.
I grant her none.
The moon suddenly rears her beautiful head.
“Darling” she caresses my cheeks.
I instantly ease into the touch.
Able to breath, with the sun out of sight,
I take myself in.
I’m broken, tormented, tired, lost, but alive.
(by night fall I am at ease with my inconsolable world.)
I decide to sleep it off.
The war was finally over,
His longing heart
Was homeward bound,

Truest of true love
Was soon to be reunited,
Together,
An infinite love
Was once again to become
Peaceful, safe-and-sound.

The war was finally over,
Sweethearts ran into eachothers
Warm embraces,

Their souls infused and intertwined,
Just like when they were created,
Home Sweet home was written
All over their faces.

The war was finally over,
Side-by-side,
They were invincible--inseparable,
Like the good-old-days,

Not even a war
Could separate them,
They shared a bond
That was unbreakable;
They were born for eachother,
Together,
They were a beautiful,
Imperfect, perfection,
Obvious to everyone
In many ways.

The war was finally over,
Together they prayed
That forever
Would be a gift
From God above,

That each day
Would last a lifetime,
In eachothers arms
They would happily reside;
That nothing would ever
Come between their divine,
One-of-a-kind, precious love.

As long as our hearts beat,
Our lungs breathe,
And our minds remain sound,
We still have options,

We just have to restore our strength,
Whilst going through the motions,
So we can delete all noxious toxins
And purify our emotions.

A kind word,
Thought or deed
Lifts one’s spirit
Turning a moment
Or a day around
How blessed am I
To have had such
A generous gift
Bestowed upon me
Reminding me of
Life’s little pleasures and
Shedding light on
This dark weary soul

Stagnant waters trapped
Her with its stillness
Its toxic fumes
Colored her thoughts and deeds
Caught and imprisoned
Within the odious waters
She waged a battle
To fight her way out
So tired, was she, of the
Poisonous waters
Now, she seeks still waters
That run deep
Protecting her passions
Feeding her heart and soul
Through its ripples
And fragrant light
