Atop a quilt
beneath  an oak

gauze dress
a pillow.

Hair a muss
Scent of rye;

no camera
only memory.

Meg
If I sit on my roof
and block out the light from my house,
I can forget that I exist.
I can swim among the constellations
and lose myself in the bittersweet triviality
of our existence.
I can break free from the intoxication
of my life wasted on autopilot.
I can pretend that I am merely thoughts,
free of the weight of a life
and of society
and of reality.
I can question things
and depersonalize
and forget this anchor of a body
and all its bitter consequences.
But,
for now,
all I can do
is lay beneath the stars
and forget.

it
it gnaws on my brain rabidly,
with its razor-like teeth

what is it?
i don't know

all i know is that it makes my breath catch in my throat
as if it's being held there by taloned claws,
my heart beating as though it's being used as a drum

and this...this thing
haunts my dreams

it causes nightmares
of losing everyone i love

it also takes my will to live
and smashes it between its palms,
so that my mind is whirling

but is void of the ability or motivation to take action

what is this creature?
how can i defeat it?
surely this is not a part of me

but it seems like
no matter how much ice i press to my skin
no matter how much control i have
no matter what medication i'm on,

it returns

and in returning,

steals my mind
~probably the last one, it's 2am

Slur pee
The
Pomegranate
Bleeds for you,
Excretions of red juice.
Eat its seeds, let life breed
In your stomach it will brew,
Like love birthed fresh and new.
Tasty lips with bitter kiss
Heart beats miss
My skin splits.
Emotion
Emits...

The pomegranate bleeds for you,
My heart, it's bleeding too.

i like to hear the rain tapping on the pain

tapping once tapping twice tapping once again

running just like teardrops from a teary eye

rolling down the glass as they go rolling bye

then the sun comes out and dries away the rain

i will wait once more until it rains again.

"INKS OF TRUTH"

A dedication

For Soul Survivor

''~~~~~~
There's A City called Hello Poetry
And in this city,
Lives A Woman of many colours
A Poetess with a kind heart
A Poetess of Class
A Woman that loves to care for all
She's a kind soul
Meandering through this city,
She has a heart devoid of hate

* A Motherly nature
Always hoping everyone is well
Find this woman and
Appreciate her
For her heart is pure
And Soul too kind
Have you heard about Soul Survivor
Or call her Catherine Jarvis?
She is the woman
She is a Mother
A Mother of Hello poetry
Find her now and appreciate her*

Hello Haley
I love when we lie down together at night
Exhausted from the weight the day has put on us
You turn to your left and I follow close behind
Wrapping my right arm around you while my left hand is on your sweet head
My favorite part of the day soon follows
Your breaths become deeper
Your chest rises high and falls so slow
Your muscles begin to relax causing a twitch to travel from your toes to your fingers
Small grunts escape from your mouth as your body tries to fight its rest
Soon, your body is still
All I can hear is the air being pulled in and pushed out of your lungs
Your body is now in peaceful slumber
Resting for tomorrow's day
I then close my eyes
Thinking of how thankful I am that you place your tired body in my arms every night and how abundantly blessed I am
to always be the last to fall asleep
