this trail of tears that we are on
for our daughter's, for our sons
how many more miles must we run
before it is we're done

this trail of tears where we find
mother's weep while fathers cry
as day brings night and night takes lives
with sorrow sown on either side

this trail of tears filled with potholes
sticks and stones will break our bones
leaving us here all alone
to wander on our own
through this trail of tears
Inhibitions are burned by candlelight,
and resurrected by daybreak.
Let us map each other
like the mountains and valley's of these sheets,
so that our comfort has risen
before the morning phoenix
that so intends to banish our touch
from each other's bodies.
Capture those candles in your eyes,
and I'll spark our fire,
so that the harshest sunlight
could never force us to forget the moonlight
upon our skin,
and those phoenix ashes.

The arms are melting off the clock face,
as you rest your arms upon my shoulders,
and kiss away the marks of time from my lips.

Am I alive In your world?
Or am I the dead cat in the box,
Just like you are in mine?

a cacophonous clash
of undertones;
     soy and beef,
     ginger and garlic,
     vinegar and brown sugar
musky and heavy
until brought to heat
simmering
in patient build
to mutual ******
the struggle for dominance
ends
with heavenly concordance
of aroma
and sprawling afterglow
of satisfied
hunger
Tried a recipe for Korean Beef today.
Come with me to see the world,
I'll miss not one bit of it
with you in my company,
for you are my world,
and each new expression feels like
a new and adventurous place
that has just been discovered.

Stars remind me of hope
It's like they are painted upon the sky each night just for me
And even though I know stars fall
It never seems like they really do
It seems as if they stay perfectly placed in a black mist
Like it's the one thing that's good and never goes away
The one happiness that does last forever

would-be canopy trees
fight for forest light,
but we prefer to bask
in the open desert
sun

my fellow shrubs and I
share the dome-view
sky and elemental blast
equally

we burn the nightfreeze
and with our skirting wind dance
we flutter on the breeze, and
dream--
