I've seen it now
mentioned twice
by poets in their lines

somehow I must have
missed
this mission that was assigned

I guess I wasn't quite
paying enough
attention

boy! I sure hope
I don't end up
in detention

I must have fallen asleep
in class

whoops!

better behave
cause
this way I'll never pass

I just found out
about
April's poem a day

oh well, too late now
perhaps I'll try it in May
After I posted, I looked. Quite by accident, I have written a poem every day so far. Of course, it's only the 7th!

Ashly Kocher
Hopes and dreams
To be a writer

Enlighten us along the way
With compelling stories
Unraveling the threads of our mind
Creating a beautiful crochet pattern
Challenging the reader to step outside of the box
Stepping into the world of colorful imagination
Like yarn on a spinning wheel
Ready to create this exhilarating work of art called
        Poetry and creative writing
Always like challenging people with my writings. Thank you Jeff Gaines on always pushing me to be the best I can be. Your a true friend.

Desiration

Though I do not know
   Where you are at present
I want you now more than ever before

More than the ink in my pen
And the quiet corner of my world
       (which I also adore)

   Than any father or mother
       Stranger or friend

Because I want you my other
   More than life itself
Yes, I want your times itself to spend

On anything and everything
   Our hearts
       Our ears or eyes desire

Because I want you more
   Than even my former self
In this moment it's you I desire
Desiration | de·sire | dəˈzī(ə)r | noun | 1. a strong feeling of wanting to have something or wishing for something to happen.

Human life is not weak,
And it is very audacious.
Nearing its extinction,
Humanity was in the 1300s.
But humanity resurged,
Even after the great famine,
And the Black Death too.
