Just thought I'd write you a poem about you,
You must know I love you,
I appreciate you,
Even though sometimes I find myself lacking time for you,
I must say you deserve a poem for you,
I'm sorry for those times;
When I run out of rhymes,
And drop my pen,
Because I feel like I'm too un inspired and my writing will be in vain,
You're my sweet escape,
From your grip,there's no escape,
Only you my dear, knows how I process my thoughts to pages,
Against your contagiousness, well I hold no grudges.
In a nutshell,I love you.
My sincere apologies for being too quiet of late, been kinda busy, but hey guess we always have to find time for what we love.
Poem inspired by Keith Edward Baucum..yeah got inspired from his words "long time no read",so I just had to write.
Wellll thanks Keith!

Drunk

I'm drunk
I'm very drunk
Not on beer or *****
Or wine or margaritas
But I'm drunk
But on what Nero?
What'd you get sloshed on?
I'll tell you
I'm drunk of a mixture of bitterness and lost hope
2/5ths of romanticism and no one to share that with
A shot of insecurity, and a tall glass of stress

I need to get sober
I'm tired of living through a constant hangover
So tomorrow I stop drinking my emotions
I'm throwing that bottle into the ocean
Don't fall in too deep
I always tell my self
not to fall in too deep. For you
the world is an open pit where
Love is but a word used loosely
I've always tried to tread lightly.
I've memorised maps and terrains.
I know, however, it is inevitable
not to fall. For you
look down at me from a bridge
made out of cobwebs of the past
and promises of the future.
I look up to where you are
and imagine being there.
Not falling too deep.
I want to reach you.
Inch my way to reach you.
We can go to places. Pass time. Be safe. Or
talk to you about jumping.
Leave the world in awe.
Jump with me.
To this crevice.
Fall with me. Fall with me
*completely.

"Quit,"
She says
"Quit,
Just quit
I know you can if you want to
So just do it.
You can do anything"
And I see poetry
In confused conversation
Its almost as though she's saying
That she believes in me

You're lying here with me
I'm already getting dressed
Everybody leaves
It's just a matter of when
I thank the others
For teaching me I can survive
Without

He wants to say I love you
But keeps it to good night
Because love will mean falling
And she's afraid of heights.
Some things are better left unsaid.

My heart

My heart is going to stop
beating
any moment now.
As I try to keep
up
with the current of life.
Reading books
and poetry,
dancing at clubs,
smoking cigs
at parties,
taking shots until
I'm rolling on your
carpet.
You see I'm living
a lifestyle that bound to
catch up with me.

My heart beats
and time passes by
while I lie down on my
bed and stair at the ceiling.
Thinking of the
time I spent with you,
talking to you about
**** I didn't know
anything
about.
Yet you still listened.

My heart continues to
beat for no
other reason but
to keep me alive.
And I keep living
because I will not go
out quietly, I'll rage on
maybe cause
Dylan Thomas told me
to.
But his heart has stopped
now
and mine will one
day.

this is the part where we say
it was nice knowing you dear
go to your destiny with no fear
let my tattered heart shed its tear
as i feel you slip away from me
on a morning when nothing makes sense
because you have chosen to go and make cents
in the ignominy of a fabled land across the big river
and i shall without doubt in the days ahead be in a shiver
and weep when i think of the things we do for nothing
in this world of sorrow and intrigue from the schemes of others
