i wonder if
there’s ever been
a moment when
all seven billion hearts
beat in unison
i guess not

our boys wouldn’t
be afraid to cry
and
our girls wouldn’t
be afraid to try

we wouldn’t
be afraid
to let boys love boys
or let boys be girls

we’d all just be
seven billion
human hearts

and when you said
laughter is like a foreign language
i imagined that i was
teaching you how to
speak it
jcl. you said you don’t laugh much just in general, but i sat with you for two and a half hours and that’s all we did. i’ve missed this. i’ve missed you.
Wala ba akong karapatan mapagod?

At kahit minsan sana'y
Maramdaman ko ulit
Ang tunay na kapayapaan

Empire
I can't bring myself to concentrate
Sit in class and find myself somewhere else
I'm either depressed or anxious
It's always crippling
Meds just make it all worse
Consequences are getting closer
They're going to call me lazy
They'll tell me it's my fault
I'll believe them
But I'm not capable of more
I'm not stable
I can't function
I can't do all this
It's too much
I can feel the panic
It'll come tonight for certain
I'm not stable
I'm not okay
I'm falling
Drowning
Fading
Dying

i know these words
never need to leave my lips,
i know you feel
the same void
in the pit of your stomach
tearing you inside out
but i'll still say them
for only you to hear;

i miss you
more than words
could ever express.
And sometimes I think I was born backwards
And sometimes I think on sitting trains
And sometimes I think of things from yesterday
And sometimes it takes sadness to know happiness
And sometimes it takes bitterness to know sweetness
But only sometimes.
