Imagination's Burial
JulietXLives Dec 2014
I feel like I've had more to say
As a six year old back in the day
You gave me blank pages
Untold stories I mastered
Full of feeling and captivating ones mind
Compare to that I'm rather a waking disaster
A child's every word has power
Each thought makes for ground breaking material
But now I'm not sure why
I pull back
Haven't seen any ink fly for some time
Will this be my imagination's burial?

Christmas left death
JulietXLives Dec 2014
Christmas came as fast as it had disappeared
Snow deciding to play a joke on us all
Fall on the twenty sixth instead of the twenty fourth
Not leaving the walls my home's made of
Each day people are
As it's all the news say
'Director, singer, poet, legend passed away'
This year Christmas seems to've brought its beauty
But left deadly announcements behind
A weird manner for sure
Faces flashing on the screen
Now in coffins they lay

Wings against Life's Canvas
JulietXLives Dec 2014
I want to see
It's all I want
Have my life stashed in no box
For that notion hope I bleed
What's a future?
What's a home?
What's a story?
Memories ANOTHER wants
If you beg for the dust to settle
Visions golden eyes get
When not running blinded ahead
Let me go far
Let me fly in paint
Smash my wings against life's canvas
Leave my own mark I desire!
Tear open the lid!
Gather knowledge from worlds parts.
Never caught in unity
My own scars
Sleep within galaxies
Understanding- of what one in a box can't believe ...
This isn't something I traditionally write. It's more a description of my current struggle with flying and discovery.
