Its an addiction...

When you relish every word
And see beauty in written lines,
Seeing them romance each other
While everyone see paragraphs.

Its an addiction...

When you idolize pens like brush
And adore papers like canvas,
When you see things in 4D
In a three dimensional world!

Its an addiction...

When you see colorful shades of gray
While everyone sees blacks and whites,
When you see words come alive
And embark on every poetic voyage.

Its an addiction...

When everything is beautiful
Be it tragic, happy or vague,
As long it's expressed in words
In a seamless, caressing way!

Its an addiction...

When you peek into Hellopoetry
When you know you should be working,
When you see poetry in everything
And must hurry to write and share.

It's an addiction...*

Yes! I am deeply addicted!
And no! I do not need a shrink!

Love is awful
Love is the worst
it will consume your heart
and then make it burst
it will control your thoughts, you speech and your actions
if your not careful, it could become a fatal attraction
the worst part of love is that when it is gone
your left with this feeling, and you don't know whats wrong
you stuck inside your head, and you think your life is ending
but little do you know, its only just beginning
Soon enough, the black curtain will rise
the darkness will fade, and you'll open your eyes
you realize that your okay, that you didnt die
Some tears were shed, and some hearts were shattered
but your okay, and thats all that really matters
Have you ever taken the time to sit back & think about life? The ups and downs, the struggle, the pain. The heartache & despair
Have you ever laid in the grass and looked up...Thinking...how beautiful the night sky & if there was a place for you out there in the stars.
Have you ever felt abandoned? Like there's no one there to listen to you. No one to help you. No one to comfort you when you're in pain. No one to talk to. Or no one that understands you.
Have you ever felt trapped in your own mind? That the troubles in your life bother you even in your sleep & you can't seem to escape from them.
Have you ever lost someone special to you? Someone who you needed & thought that "if only they were here, my life would be easier."
Have you ever felt so drained, emotionally & spiritually? Like nothing seems to go your way. And it feels like even God has deserted you.
Have you ever felt so stressed that you drop everything & isolate yourself trying to escape your problems?
Have you ever broke down, because you tried to hold so much in & the gravity of your own thoughts start to weigh you down?
Have you ever..burst out in rage, not because you're angry but because there's so much held inside you?
Have you ever been asked "what's wrong?" But there's so much wrong that you don't know where to begin........Have you ever?

A
I was greedy and wanted more
I am sorry

I was miles away from you
I couldn't help feeling lonely
I am sorry

I thought I couldn't love you
I am sorry

I tried to make myself love someone else
someone who could be by myself
I am sorry

the truth is,
I loved you five years ago,
and I love you now
you think that I am a liar
I am sorry

you found someone else
I am sorry

I want you back.
but I know you don't.
I am sorry.

I want to make it right.
I want to make you mine
I am finally stepping into the city you live in
for a year
I am finally close to you physically
but you don't want to see me
and I am sorry

right now, all I can say is
I am sorry
and even that can't change anything

I am sorry.
I find myself spiraling
Into a pit of anxiety
Every time my control
Is snatched away
Every time someone else
Takes charge
And says
'Leave it to me'
My heart pumps faster
My chest feels tight
My leg starts to shake
And I can't trust people
To do the right thing
One part of my mind
Believes they mean well
And will help me
But the other part
The irrational part
Will lead me elsewhere
Down a path of despair
And anxiety
Coming up with scenarios
That would never happen
In a million years
But anything seems possible
When you have no control
If you were only one inch tall, you'd ride a worm to school.
The teardrop of a crying ant would be your swimming pool.
A crumb of cake would be a feast
And last you seven days at least,
A flea would be a frightening beast
If you were one inch tall.

If you were only one inch tall, you'd walk beneath the door,
And it would take about a month to get down to the store.
A bit of fluff would be your bed,
You'd swing upon a spider's thread,
And wear a thimble on your head
If you were one inch tall.

You'd surf across the kitchen sink upon a stick of gum.
You couldn't hug your mama, you'd just have to hug her thumb.
You'd run from people's feet in fright,
To move a pen would take all night,
(This poem took fourteen years to write--
'Cause I'm just one inch tall).
