When the rain is falling down
With the sun behind the clouds
And you can't find your way back
I'll find you

I'll find you
When you're all alone
Stuck in the wilderness
Nowhere to call hone
I'll find you

When you're lost in the darkness
And can't find the right words
To pull you from the madness
I'll find you

She added
her favourite books
to play the role
of her hero...
I want to run my hand down your back
And feel your smoothness across the ridges of my fingertips
Once more

The smell of your hair lingers in the spaces between my fingers
The ends of each strand brushing my skin still haunts my forearms

My hips feel like your thighs are still there,
My spine still feels your ankles interlocked,
My tongue still remembers how yours tasted,
My teeth still feel your bottom lip in between

In your voice, I heard the angels of heaven sing;
And in your eyes, I saw its shining gates;
And in your eyes, I saw burning passion;
And in your eyes, I saw true love

When you said I love you
I heard I won’t leave
When you said you’re too clingy
I heard I don’t need you right now
When you said you didn’t want me
I heard my heart breaking
When you said you needed time
I heard Goodbye.

Say what you want
Say how you feel
Every word to me is real
Every emotion, I feel it
Because what matters to you,
Matters to me, too

Rules are meant to be followed.
Work is meant to be done.
With work and rules and P R O P E R discipline there
W I L L be results.
Time is fleeting
as the spring river runoff
that gushes out to sea

A heart trickles out
a moment,
minute by minute,
in a timeless ink drop;
unmeasurable expanse
     immured in spilled ink ―
   manifest in the lexicon of poetry

For only purged words
cannot quench this thirst
that is loneliness;
it's a hunger that gnaws
like an unsatisfiable ache ―
a starving emptiness
all hearts
do one day taste

Left in the sight
of doubt
and eyes that fail
to believe what they see
lain fallow in the silent
indifference

Lost in a lingering void
unburied all around,
bespoken out loud
alone in plain sight
a feigned understanding;
reticent letters shape
reluctant words
to hold forth
enunciated breathe

The only words
that still echo unstilted ―
uttered  words
indelibly felt
from lips once sweet
as daybreak dew
    upon musing tongue ―
tasting the only
voiceless truth
that ever broke my heart

a vanishing wave
that moved an ocean
   deeply ...

Thank you for listening to my 2 cents ...
I sold my soul
  for new meter and rhyme

Trading salvation
  for a thing greater still

The joyous embrace
  of one hell damning phrase

Now immortal, perpetual
  —fulfilled

I sold my soul
  as the Devil laughed

Knowing not, my final words
  were for him

Exposing his lie
  and his legions of hate

My last breath
  —Divinity’s hymn
