My part of the world
Knows not who you are
A talent beyond words
Rhyming life in your lyrics
Effortless you sing your songs

Tom Waits
Why I never heard you before
Now I love your songs
And want to listen to some more
Forevermore

Talk not about me like this
Lady you never heard me before
And now you speak of my songs
As if you been a fan of, all life
Don’t  flatter me now

In this world there is misery enough
As I drive down the ghost town
Fearless eyes and lies, I see
Scary for people to cope
So, in my songs I sing of hope

“Hey little bird, fly away home
Your house is on fire, your children alone
Hey little bird, fly away home
Your house is on fire, your children alone”
Thank you, Thomas W Case for introducing me to Tom Waits and sharing his lovely song 'Jockey full of Bourbon' and encouraging me to write something
So this is what I could think of while listening to Jockey full of Bourbon
The Last verse is from this song  :)

The sun strokes my cheeks
The winds blows bird songs to me
Day of birth has come
Hard to believe that I have made it to 25 years of age!
I have been blessed with another year and now, some changes will be made.
Thank you so so much for 334 followers, it's honestly crazy for me to believe!
Stay safe and well everyone 💜
Much love

Summer nature song
Sweet chorus and cry from far
Birds flies with freedom
Just came back from an outing. It's a lovely day out today!
Stay safe and well today, everyone!

Rain on a flower
Rain on me
The sky has a plan
Tomorrow you will see
The sun shine again
In light of today's dream

For the vacuous thoughts
Ever blissful they float
In the vacuous mind

Being taught today
Lessons of peace
Paying attention
Coming together
While staying away
Lessons of peace
We are learning

(my world)

Azure sky domes over clouds of cotton white,
freshly washed clothes on the clothesline,
sway freely to summer winds...sun is bright,
so generous...............it hurts my eyes.

through a rumble of overgrown bushes, i enter,
my hair, nose, fingers, elbows get tangled
in spiders' webs...i step back, leave their corner
freedom is well-guarded...fortified is their world.

in a nearby school, the flag waves with dignity
national anthem plays...its lyrics vow loudly
to preserve precious freedom...faithfully.
school scenes slow me down...but, i hurry

now, home to my own freedom, my world,
my world...a safe bubble, like...a microcosm,
a microcosm long existing...a secret world,
a secret world i frequent when i need to,
when i need to be...alone, creating poetry,
...creating poetry on life's nitty-gritty
...and trivialities...

inside my world, muse eases the tossing,
turning mind...helps shape scenes to a tee,
lets me go rhyming.....or free versing
in couplets, sonnets, a dirge, or a ditty...

(I wrote of freedom, because tomorrow, June 12, we celebrate Independence Day in  the Philippines.)
