My Poems

My poems are
lost down a shady grove,
They've taken up residence,
In a rainbow room,
Reflections cast on four white walls,
Whispered from this closing tomb,
Singing songs no one knows,
Poems lost in airy ether,
No one knows where they go.

My poems ride the winds,
Cascading down,
Tumbling into oceans
to be buried within,
When no one is looking,
They rise again.
It has been said
in space, no one can hear you scream,
Silence known far to well.

My poems are silence
in a darkened room
banging on consciousness door
to be set free,
Thought bubbles floating
in the breeze,
Set free, finally.

Pop.
Go ride the mountain,
Stand atop its highest tiers.
No words as witness.

When they ask
If I’m seeing anyone
I respond

No
Haven’t for years

They snicker
Assume
Player
But they asked
The wrong question

They should’ve asked

Does your heart thump
Does it sing in ecstasy
Does it swoon in anticipation
Does it stall before doors
Does it falter after kisses
Does it clang with emptiness
Or pump with desire

Does it writhe
In broken glass and gasoline
Longing
Each night
Still

For her?

Then I shall whisper

Yes

And walk away

Is anything too hard for Me?

Trials are for learning to trust Me

Not about being abandoned by Me...

Alone in the room,
my hands are stained
with poetry.

Ink
Scratching for quite some time
on this blank white page,
my emotions flow
shine and glow
till the emptiness
imbibes my thoughts
like raindrops after a **drought.
I love fountain ink pens :)
Folks
needn't agree
to be kind
to one another

In fact,
kindness
due to mere agreement
is oft fickle and hollow-
a vile form
of bribery

There lived a man, a crooked man
Whose journey was indeed sheer folly
He had hoped to meet someone, just anyone
To share his plight and story

Many had seen him walk his crooked walk
But thought him unpleasing and crazy
We had watched from afar, afraid to go near
And we had avoided him completely

We could've looked past his decrepit state
But we invested much in seeing with naked eyes
So quickly we turned the other way
We cared not if he lives or dies

We could've helped this man
To close the journey that he had then begun
The earth would now claim his body where it laid
As his soul disappears into the sun

Know this man, the crooked man
Whose looks weighed on us a tonne
We've lost the chance to see this man
The man we conveniently chose to shun
Part 6 of 6

How many times have we seen this man,
woman or child...
Then judged and looked the other way?

I, too, am guilty.

Beauty comes a dime a dozen**
Sliding through the cracks
Sticky change if you ask me
But I don't check the facts
I'm a penny-pinching prophet
All premonitions made out to cash
My fingers dig between the floorboards
But there are *some things I can't grasp
