Those three little words that I need to say,
I hide them and keep them down inside of me,
And until I know that you feel the same way,
I'll show you the truth of those words every day.

Whether one would wish well,
Well wishing with water,
When writing wrong words,
Would weaken another,
I sadly suggest,
A short sentence sees sun,
Sometimes silly sounds,
Start slowly with one.

From the dimples on your cheeks,
To the way that you smile,
From the touch of your hand,
Every once and a while,
When I hold you real close,
I don't want to let go,
I miss you the most,
And just thought you should know.

Bracing for an unforseen storm,
I ride the feathery blue waves that pull me closer to you,
At every whispering cloud I fear thunder,
Only to hear the peaceful melody of the ocean,
Sail on...sail on.

I've traveled down this road before,
It's scary to see you so unsure,
I've been broken once and I let him inside,
Your indecisive heart makes me want to hide mine,
The path that we walk on is two different ways,
Your path is a new one, I've had mine for days,
I want you, I do, but my mind's yelling no,
My heart is so fragile, I'm not sure where to go,
So whatever happens, know this to be true,
My mind was the thief that stole my heart from you.
Sometimes the mind can go against what your feeling. This is what I've gone through.

I am like the broken ones,
The ones that are not whole,
Like pieces scattered round about,
The dust that once was gold,
I am like the broken ones,
Here in the dark I lie,
And even in my darkest hour,
I whisper my loudest cry.
I wrote this a while back when I was going through a dark depression.
