im frustrated at all the times
i belittled myself,
using fear and doubt as an excuse,
making me believe that i
couldn't do anything
i didnt set my mind to.
something
as simple as x+y.
and im sorry
somedays im so quiet
and also so hard to figure out.
and just like math, so am i.
one big problem to solve.

Your Hologram

TYRAN
I think I could do with a hologram.
I think it could help me help who I am.
Feeling for a touch right through my hand.
Hope is lost for me
sinking in the sand.

I think I could do with a hologram.
I think I could do
you
in a smoky place.
Your electronic face
makes my heart switch it's pace.
The green you roll
in swisher rolls
may have been laced.
Maybe my mind's been replaced.

Something tells me you aren't here,
that you aren't real,
that I just needed something to feel.
What is ever real
anymore?
I can never deal
anymore.
Wanted just
a little more.
I combust
till there's no more.
What feels good doesn't always mean good.

It was selfish of her
To leave.
She needed the change;
Had to move,
Having been stuck so long
She felt suppressed,
And so depressed.
She just needed to leave,
But where could she start?

He was easiest to leave,
The most convenient to cut off;
He didn't hold on,
He didn't even try.
She didn't know,
Was she angry
That it was easy for her to leave?
Or that he didn't even try to stop it?

But she had to leave,
The reasons didn't matter,
The semantics were moot,
Whether he wanted her to,
Or he didn't--
Whether she wanted to,
Or she didn't want him to let her;
Nothing mattered.

It was truly selfish of her
To leave.
She had to fly
And he made it easy for her
To leave him behind...

Summer
saying goodbye.

Summer
Alcohol and strawberries
will always  remind me of you.
my friends take my phone away
when I'm drunk,
because those are the times i always
want to call you.
I threw up this morning
and the taste came back.
I cried for two hours.
at least it's all out if me.
we kissed in graveyards
and i gave myself to you,
the bruises on my chest were your way of saying
“i like you.”
i would’ve let you destroy me
if you’d asked,
but when i remember
how you kissed me against walls,
i wish i had faded into them.
you were the only reason i had to stay.
and i know oregon will not save me but-
it has less ghosts.
i want saying goodbye to hurt less.
but it’s not that easy.
i try not to care,
i stop smiling when you call,
i say i won’t keep in touch when I’m gone.
but i still cry at 1 a.m.
because you will not find it in your time
to call me.
my little tree,
i love you so much,
but your branches are stretching away from me.
i can’t reach you anymore.
go on, reach the sky.
i will stay on the ground for a while,
one day i can reach the heavens, too.
even if it means,
**forgetting i love you.
there's no romantic feelings anymore between us. i still love you

Angry

If anything I'm angry, just plain angry.
I want to kick and scream but I smile,
I want to break down but I calmly breath,
die but I have reasons to live.
I look strong but believe me I'm angry
just plain angry.

If only I were lonely
Maybe then you could hold me
Never looking for forever
Let us never lay together

We were misfits
the neglected *******
of a backwards world
that rejected us
not because we were sick
demented or dangerous
but because we didn't prescribe
to a preconceived notion
of what a functioning citizen was.

Not rotten enough to spoil
behind the bars of a prison
just competent enough
to work menial jobs
and drown our sorrows
at the corner pub.

We swallowed this hard truth
the same way we drank our shots
with no chaser
and at times it burnt
maybe even made us tear up
but we never let it beat us
(too strong for that)

We were beautiful
resilient beasts
that could carry the weight
of the world upon our shoulders
and it was heavy
but we would tell ourselves
"doesn't every world need an atlas?"
so we went on holding up the sky
when no one asked it of us.
comes from
the reconciliation
of
heart
and
mind
