I will create oceans and rivers
From the tears that flow from my eyes
And they will envelop the shores
Formed in the crest of my torso,
The valleys that lay in between my *******
Will protect wildlife from the raging winds
Of my breaths, and the shaking earth
Of my heartbeat
My thoughts will form stars and planets
And I will create my own galaxies
My fingertips will be the roots of trees that will stretch ever onwards
I will grow and I will grow
And I will destroy as I please
No laws hold me
For I am my own universe
Unbidden, unbound.

If there were more smiles in the world
There wouldn't be so many tears

And still I dream of stepping back into yesterday
Where time flowed so freely golden with serenity
We would sit in pine scented grove and sip lemonade
Our talk tranquil as sun dappled creek murmuring in quiet wood
Never arguing or complaining but flooded with blissful reverie
A time bygone and peaceful, learning to know each other again
Listening to the background symphony of cicadas and katydids
Poignantly nostalgic with yearnings of bygone days
Watching velvety dusk deepen into shades of whispering night
Relishing each breeze laden with moss and murmuring pine
Anticipating the dawn awakened by drowsy robins and wood thrush
Skies east to west stained with strawberry hues and dreams renewed
And still I shall dream on

I aspire to awaken hearts

I want the souls encompassing me to flourish.

To dance and sing and create a rhythm.

So when their spirits fly through those Pearly Gates, the fluttering of their wings will create a melody so sweet, even Van Morrison says it sounds free.

Rain drops trickle down the siding,
Each one an orphan,
Rushing to find it's way home.
The sound of it all,
Streams,

disecting their way through the grass.

Determined.

Puddles,

fill the cracks in the old, broken down drive way.

Healing.

And the beauty of it all gives me a little hope,
Maybe we are all just rain drops or puddles,
Looking to fall peacefully into something broken,
something we can heal,
something we can make new again,

something.

I am never gonna change my mind,
Try to torch me and you'll find,
You can't turn me or deter me,
No matter how you try:
*You can't burn me.

Seven bucks an hour,
Bills stacked on the counter,
Got a baby on the way, he'll have to feed.
His pride is gettin' torn down,
His confidence is worn out.
This ain't the way he dreamed that it would be.

She's got no time for makeup,
'Cause she's got three boys to wake up,
Never thought she'd have to raise them on her own.
And some days she feels like cryin',
But she's holdin' on, survivin',
On the love that makes their little house a home

She's been here before,
And she's only eight years old,
But she knows the name of every nurse she sees.
And though she don't like the chemo,
She waits it out, never losin' hope,
that someday soon she'll be cancer-free

You're a fighter,
Got that fire,
When they thought you'd fade away.

Hold a fist up,
As you get up,
Feeling stronger everyday.
This is a poem about three people I know to set a reminder that there is hope, even when situations seem as thought they won't improve.

The sun rises for me
It sets for you
I've started another empty day without you
You ended a great one without me
I'm struggling through it
You sleep soundly
I can feel the pain
You sink into dreams
I'm lost without you
You couldn't be more found without me
Another day in paradise. Sending prayers to all those who need it.

Hey you're more than pretty. You're gorgeous. You're eyes sparkle brighter than any star. Your smile beats the moon. Your hair is so much fun to play with. Remember not to starve, purge, cut, tear, stab, poke, burn, scratch. There's no need too. I don't need to see your face to know your beautiful. I don't care what the mirror says. You deserve to know the ugly truth. You will always be beautiful and there's nothing you can say or do to change that.
For every girl, guy, and everyone in between. You deserve to feel beautiful. 'I kissed the scars on her skin and I still think your beautiful. I don't think I could ever lose my best friend.

My angel always by my side
You have shown me how to be
Respectful,
Helpful,
Truthful
Through my childhood days,
He would tell me stories
When I was down, tears would fall
Upon  that  sorrowful day  tears came around,
My parents would see me
Hugging,
Silent,
Tears
Flowed always out of view,
My angel would wipe away
The sorrow, turning tears
In to snow flakes that floated slowly around
Me
&
You
I could see your outline where the snow flakes fell,
I would stick out my tongue to try & catch a few.
My parents catching a view
"If you keep that funny face it will stick"
Everybody laughed,
I played
Hide
&
Seek,
My brotherly angel would be sneaky
I though I had found him giggling
but he could walk through walls,
"My brother"
"My angel"
"My hero"
You were there for me in life,
And now your my guardian angel
I miss you,
Mum
&
Dad
Miss you now that your gone,
"But your still here"
My invisible friend, My brotherly angel
Always here when needed, I so happy your still in my life.
