Soul inducts
Body conducts
Soul without body is like
   Current without conductor
Body without soul is like
   Conductor without current
United they live
Divided; one flies
And the other dies
The burning question lies
to keep them ever in ties

Despicability is the foundation to their life
For them it is intrinsic
Genetically encoded
Simplistic
Poetically eroded
Reprehensible at best

     Unscrupulously callous
     Secrets and facts, they conveniently
     ingest
Distorted byproducts, they release to the
     masses
To aid their campaign; a forked tongue
     fest

Pathetic and unapologetic
A beast armed to the teeth
Imported bypasses to increase the flow of police
A weakness and an act,
They so vehemently attest

Harvesting greens off the branches of
     the people
Pockets engorged with wads and folds
Crushing blue collars at the lower levels
As they sit atop their pyramids of gold

Today they sip champagne
To celebrate their reign
Tonight we'll skip being humane
To feed them excruciating pain

You've incited this coup with ill-thought
     deterrents
Now herald the arrival of the scourge
     Down with lopsided governments
Tonight... All we would topple! Tonight we purge!

ryn
This truly was an experience. I really enjoyed sending and receiving verses from the one and only amazing ryn. I really got into character with this one, but long story short: **** corruption!  The pen is mightier than the sword

Sometimes,
It's better to keep silent,
Than to tell others what you feel,
Because,
It hurts badly when you come to know that,
They can hear you,
But can not understand.

I live in this box of pain
Nothing to see or feel
Embraced by sanctity,
driven by sorrow

Enclosed inside
by life's uncertainties
Taken out of society
by guilt and solitude

You say I am broken,
battered and confused
but it is you,
the normals of mankind

You do not set the rules
of what is right or wrong
You do not tell me
I am the idiot one

For you
are not the ruler of lives
For you
do not control my thoughts

For you
will not get inside me
For you
are not a human being

My pain does not
come from any one thing
It is a multitude
of uncontrollable events

Events that
impact my life not yours
Unseized pressure
from the unconscious world

Pressure that places
the horror of the world in front of us all
Placed there by you
and society's real crazies

This box of pain
will not control me
I will open it
and be stronger than you
Looking out into this crazy world and seeing who is the real crazy ones

Was the bite of corruption
Did suckle upon clean
Skin, what was purity
Lucid thoughts entered
Deep, penetrating within.

What was of no harm was
Gently turned to anger
Over the emotions, sealed
A furnace of hatred boiled within.

A single bite upon the purest
Of flesh, of skin, It takes but a
Single nick, morsel tasted to let
That which was vacant,
Now felt within.

I used to think men
should be more like books
Both you cannot
judge by looks...

If I didn't want to finish reading
I put it down... no heart was bleeding

A book will never fuss or fight
It will stay with you
through the night...

It doesn't smoke. It doesn't drink.
It won't leave toothpaste
in the sink!

It doesn't binge... it don't eat...
It won't leave up the toilet seat!

It don't forget. It doesn't mope.
It won't hog the TV remote!

It doesn't have to have
The last say...
It doesn't have legs

to walk away.

But it's not soft. It isn't warm.
It doesn't keep you
safe from harm.

Even though it makes no fuss
It can't think. It can't discuss.

Even though it has its charms
it can't hold you in its arms.

It doesn't pine. It doesn't miss.
It can't hug and it can't kiss.

So now I think on it again...
... I think BOOKS should be
             more like MEN!!!

Do not be afraid

She heard him say

“I am here to hold you dear”

Her stillness became acquiescence to her still

It’s nice to have you home for Christmas they may say

But her heart knows the better

The disgrace was still the footnote.

The night wind made a faint whisper

Telling her over and over

The time has come and gone

Forget the pain of evermore.

Dancing took her to a time

Her feet would fly and fly

Sweeping steps of every beat

To see those days that would go by;

Just to remember his words so clear

To clear her mind of pain

The slightest motion of his hand

To kiss the smiles she used to have

The sound reverberated through the crisp autumn air

Klung, klung, klung of the wood

Reminding her he was there.

She remembers his words although,

As the faint breeze lifted her veil

But the face she saw was the one captured of long ago;

With black skirts and pine needles that she wrote

The songs were sung to her heart

Etched forever more this day

With colored hair ribbons all so new

Ponytails askew;

He took her hand to strange places that were so few

On Saturday nights to kiss the kiss

She remembers the words he spoke

The bell tolled once and then twice she heard

Sound exploded and glass flew.

As her life fell around her like needles ever so slightly,

The pain of it all gone so far

Just to remember the words he spoke;

The farther and farther he tolled

The longer and longer she was gone

So now the years have passed

The pain is as she remembers

And the WORDS HE SPOKE

Was so light

That it still tore her heart.

As she danced.... she became a memory..

Star-crossed lovers?
More like clashing meteors.
We were soaring from opposite ends of the galaxy,
And somehow,
Written in the foundations of time before the world was formed,
We were meant to cross paths.

At first it was brutal,
At first it was painful.

Everyone said love is beautiful,
But they forgot to mention that it is broken too.
I love you,
And I love us
