Inhale deeply of the seas

  whilst your days are youthful

   and lips blush with dawn,

surrender your passion

to enchantment 'pon  the

      ***** of wildflowers' bloom,

dance within winds' touched beyond

     fiery kisses of sensuality's desire,

allow your affections to waft midst

heartfelt poetry & lustful love songs,

feel the earth between your toes,

   before sensibility denies passage

and your eyes become a vintage flush

'tween life's unkind shades of blue,

& what was once unveiled amid moonbows

     on hot summers' reminiscent twilights

Secret One
Take my hand and hold it gently
Take my heart and don't let go
Take my soul on a journey
Only you and I will know

Love me like there's no tomorrow
Make me yours forever more
Love me wholly and completely
Every fault and every flaw

Make my knees buckle with kisses
So my mind forgets it all
Make love to me, mind and body
And, in love with you I'll fall

I see how white light startles.
I snapped a pic and she spun in circles.
She wanted a photograph
to cover her mother's epitaph,
so she could have a laugh.

She smoked to get away -
but this isn't what'd she say,
exhaling, "All we are is carbon
and a lack of empathy."

We blended into hues of
microwave dinners
and church alters.
I used to tell her to go
just to halt her.

We prayed to get away -
but that's not what we'd say,
whispering, "Help us be more
than carbon and a lack of empathy."

An evening in the garden
Sun slowly dipping below rooftops,
Shedding an orange glow,
Caught by the ice
In the glass on a rustic table
A background chorus of warbles
Marking out dusk territory
A faint smell of lavender
Mixed with mown grass
Brings a summer day to a close

All the remarks of wet winter weather
Plaguing our dull, dreary lives forgotten
Replaced by bare sleeves, smiles
And a biblical invasion of midgies

I sit in this place, surrounded
By a storm tossed sea
Of torn, crumpled A 4
An ocean of words,
Floating cross the floor
All the words I meant to say
Lost to a tide of despair

Maybe tomorrow,
When a new tide rolls in
I’ll ride the poetic crest of a wave.

breathe in the air for me because I can't
bright but dark and suffocating, the stars squeeze me,
watching as they dance through each other like

french tips tapping on a foggy windowpane
pale blue grey lips trembling as they tug up at the corner
the elegant stretched fingers of mannerism -
alien, beautiful, silver and glowing
and throwing away all that came before,
looking toward the future, already there,
waiting for me
waiting for us to catch up

breathe for me because I can't
neck stretched too far, too far back
eyes cast toward the darkness, lips open, screaming, quiet
as the planets swirl in the deafening distance
and I bury my nails in my sides and it burns like

acid rain hissing as it strikes the ground
a high ringing somewhere in the distance in this empty office
stage lights striking the tops of eyelashes in the right position -
comforting and familiar, warm
but the eyelashes tremble and it's all you can see,
the only light in a dark room that could be stretching on forever,
blinding light, burning and staying for hours after as you sit, waiting,
waiting for sight
waiting for sight to catch up

*(I still can't breathe)

How much did I long to know you
How much did I wait to realize I am a part of you,
For the air around thee urged me,
To find, you were best that I ever met!

The day you let me know How much this means to you…
Your love shall win over my pain
And it is only happiness that you let me gain

As I relished you around me with all the glee
Every fall of the Sun!!! Every rise of the moon...
Took me in dismay, for,
My times with u were touching the end very soon!

But As the days go by!
Every dawn I witness, Sweeps away my distress
As it's time you are here with me
For me to relish all bliss with thee.

I can move mountains
With your little love equal to a mole
With the tiniest corner in your heart
I can make fractions into a whole

I want a mouthful
  of truth
without you sugar coating
  every word
but those lies that lie
  behind your pearly whites
only goes to show
you can't ever tell the truth.
So, I'll keep my mouth shut
  bite my tongue so hard
My lips touch
  like a kiss from you
Never open, only
Blowing our love out of proportion
because I can't give
   my heart to you
with no proof,
just changing gears
  and shifty eyes.
You whisper, "Honey,"
  But that's your disguise
Executing every syllable and consonant
  Like a devout man
but baby you're not heaven sent.
  So, pull me close
until you start to fall apart
and to be honest I can't wait
to hear you talk your way
  Out of this one
but I'll be sweet enough
  to watch you rot
From too many
  candy covered lies.

the horizon
claims its mortality
by consuming the sun,
the sky
pronounces its existence
by littering stars,

bound by no one
two infinites collide
ear-marking the spread of time
on a time sheet,

with grids and figures
and algorithms,
innocuously designed
to measure oblivion
set lucidly aside.
