I never wanted a hero.
I'm no damsel in distress.
All I wanted was a place
a safe place without duress.

I'm not a typical teenager
I don't facebook things
Or post my life to the world
I don't tweet
Or Twitter
Or all the other
Networks
I don't instagram
In fact
I don't like pictures
If me. I hide from the camera
Hoping no one will
Click the photo button
I don't party
Or stay out late
I sit at home
Watching TV
Or better yet
Cuddling up with a good book
I don't waltz around
In revealing clothes
Hoping for a boyfriend
I don't act all bubbly
I cry and worry
I don't worry about boys
And dates
I worry about depression
And cutting and if my
Friends are really fine

I don't doodle or draw names on a binder
I write poetry on a site called helo poetry
And the only thing that upsets me
About that, is that I didn't find it sooner

It's  a big world, yet a small one to.
So many dfferent Counties , states,
and cities, your just one life of many.
Look at the many places, faces and all the races, do you think your town is the only one with hatred?
       The homeless, the hungry, the junkies and thieves, your  not the only one who worries .Your one life of many.
So many unemployed people Divorces ,and Unhappy Families.    Your not alone when It comes to finances.
It's  a big world ,and your just one life of many.

Science has discovered the speed of light

I am present and perplexed at the speed of darkness

On my bookshelf
There is a stuatue
Of a monkey
With wire-rim glasses
Reading,
Looking
Like Rodin's Thinker.
I don't know who
The sculptor is,
But he's guilty
Of Identity Theft.

Hazel
What a quite adorable name for an eye color
so bright
so beautiful
That's how I felt about you
And perhaps, I still do
I just wish you knew
Because, hazel eyes, all I can see is me and you

the flowers just die, so why plant them?
the children just forget, so why teach them?
the hearts will just break, so why love them?
but i guess we'll all just die, so why live?

She doesn't know.
She can't see what they are doing to her
They use her for their games and tricks
They don't care that hearts are in the mix
Bodies against bodies
No one knows where to start or where to end
But I'll try to mend
Her broken heart
