I cannot sleep tonight
So I watch the stars so bright
Until morning,  I think of him
And of the how's to strengthen the seams

I cannot sleep,  my mind is full
Of many thoughts in push and pull
What is here in this crazy brain
Why love and hope are words that remain?

I cannot sleep,  I think of him
Still see his face though lights are dim...
Cannot sleep again

DC raw love
Just when you feel you have the upper hand,
Do you find yourself under someones thumb......
--
Just when you feel one step ahead,
Do you find yourself trampled upon......
--
Just when you feel that you know someone,
Do you find yourself as the enemy......

fallen…
heroes all,
saviors-in-training,
on mission repeat;
the service-giving,
life-giving,
members of
a fighting team.
existing solely that
you and i
can spend our time
consumed
with the art
of loving well;
their actions
no less impassioned
than our own,
no less worthy,
no less loving and
no less selfless.

whatever we think
of war,
we must think
of the individuals
who move toward the fray
rather than away;
those to whom
we owe our very
everyday existence
be it extraordinary
or mundane;
to their daily efforts.,
to their repeated training,
to their daily sacrifice,
we offer
a prayer-filled salute!

and to these
who paid dearly,
to wives,
sons & daughters,
mothers and fathers,
nation with a
grateful heart,
a debt we cannot repay,
we humbly offer
our heart-filled
and loving tribute.
may you ever
rest in peace.

My little one
boils a kettle of emptiness
on her little toy stove.
Careful, I caution
don't burn yourself my dear.
She pours a cup of
Emptiness,
carefully without spilling any.

Ah delicious! I fondly say
as I sip the emptiness.
This is a game I play with her
and isn't it creative how
she taught me to savour
Emptiness
Everyday.
Some say, Empty vessels make the most noise.
I say, how can they? Aren't they full of emptiness.

I like the sound of the rain
washing away the silent day

And the lonely call
of a home-bound train

A mournful morning
kind of pain

....Give me the sound
of a blue bluejay

over the busy noise
that mocks my ways

I want to pack my bag
and fetch my dog

Whistle a tune
while we walk along...

Come on girl
It's starting to rain

I hear the sound
of the lonesome train

and the blue bluejay
calling my name

(Here's where yer sposed to whistle)

The human mind is running
the latest software upload
of this paradigm shifting program~
that calculates genetic algorithms
into vast patterns of random regularity
birthing the seeds of intelligent transformation
by out-solving itself
upon a flowering field~
of continuously evolving functions
displaying fractal solutions of subtle nuance~
braced in between a boundary of infinitely opposed edges.

...the Universal Mind does this in every dimension for an eternity.

I simply cannot complain about the aches in my brain
out of a shear respect for the absolute profundity of the situation.
I've started reading quite a stimulating book called, "The Singularity is Near", by Ray Kurzweil.
I haven't made it to pg. 100 yet but was inspired to attempt to summarize the main idea in the verses above...Enjoy:-)

When an illusion becomes a reality
The whole idea of existence is shrouded
In the mysterious clues we are given
Unearthed from the remains ancient
Many hypotheses which float around
Mystic lands which once existed
So many exposed to the light of day
Many more still cradled within the layers
Many interpretations, ancient chronicles
Dates back to time immemorial
Many sources and many more tales
The soul of the scripts lost long ago
None will come to know the real sentiments
Mired in the deepest secrets of yesteryear
Historians’ favorite child, philosophers guide
We can only come up with our understanding
Spend a lifetime deciphering between the lines
Many centuries of hidden anecdotes
We can only reconstruct what we decipher
We may not be close to the real meaning
The custodians have whisked away the heart
And soul of the entire episodes
Leaving us between the vagueness
Papyrus holds the words, without the meanings
Not sure of the real feelings and emotions
Maybe a rendezvous with the chroniclers
If we can travel back in time
And enter the ethereal world of these histories
Can reveal the truth and exact sentiments
Till that time, we have to live with our inferences
Maybe we are way off the mark
In a different trajectory, away from the core
An illusion we may have created form our cognizance

I can talk the talk of love
all my days

and I walk the walk of love
in silence

Let me rest upon your
shore. The waves have
been dragging me down
lately and beating my body
against the rocks. I won't
deny that i can't take this no
more. Lift my head up from the ocean's cruel waves so i don't
drown. Take me to a better place
like in the story of PeterPan
because this one is making me
frown. Oh darling paint me
a smile if your talented hands
can. Paint me with the colours
you have on your bedroom walls.
Use pretty shades of pink and
green as if i have make up on to
cover my bruised lips and the
scars on these hips. Paint me
close to you with my head
resting upon your shore* ~

A dark shape
dauntingly blows around
as I lie in a fetal position
watching the smoke
from a once raging fire long spent
reaching for the sky

One lone ember barely glowing
remains, gasping for oxygen,
fading by the second
until it is nothing more
than a bit of ash
scattered easily by the wind

I was that fire
once raging
and the ember my heart,
now merely a dark shape
dauntingly blowing around
what used to be me

Your bodkin, seeking my heart if straight, will find it's target quick,
I'll gladly die an honorable death, still remembering the arrows of cupid,
but if your sword, stealthily moves from behind, in deceit, cuts me down,
denigrates love, let darkness shout, from  where once love solemnly stood,
you'll have to be on your knees to seek forgiveness for this sin, it's no win.
