Bea Autumn
The  birds arrive each morning I smile & see
Leaves have fallen left barren trees like me
Cooling breezes floating thru my soul
With the sparrows of sorrow
Following around me everyday now
Alone again without someone to love
Such a big loss reaps quiet solitude
Changes I make but memories linger
I miss our time together with gratitude
There used to be a ring on my finger
Time In the tropics I miss you the most
Dreams of a time when we were so close
Even the little sparrows are not forgotten

i was told once
as a joke
that i bring the rain
everywhere i go

i clenched my teeth
and softly laughed
while looking at them
shining like little suns

their sun-rays danced around the room
pure and free
and untainted by the rain
that was pouring all over me

i felt my eyes turn into oceans
as i gazed at the cloudy sky
while the rain was pouring down
every single drop felt like mine
i am a cloud sorry for my rain

earthling
I talk to the moon about
the lovely things you say
Yes, I talk to her
almost everyday

Her light shines through my eyes
Into my heart and reveal
An ocean of love and dreams
Of fears and tears from my cries

Alone, I talk to the moon as if I’m talking to you
I tell the stars to guide me
I ask the clouds to fly me up
And let my love soar and be carried
By a gentle breeze

Because the moon and I,
We get along
We whisper about your loveliness
And sing a merry song

And the moon and I,
Are just like you and I,
I admire you
But you will never know that I do.

Every couple of days.
She comes around.
She claims to not like me.
She looks the other way.
When she needs me
She knows where to find me.
Reaching with open arms.
When no one is around she professes her love.
There is no other.
She breaks my heart.
The start of another week.
She claims to not like me.
She calls late night.
Apologizing for what she's done.
I never felt so bad.
It's coming to an end.
In another couple of days.
Things'll be back the same.
The same old same old.
Both our selfish ways.
She knows where to find me.
I have no clue where she is

Oh those long summer nights
Usually spent in the backyard with smoke in the air
And old country music mixing in with the laughter

Everyone’s smile is as big as the summer sun
From roasting marshmallows to driving on old backroads at early hours
And staying up all night just to see the sun rise

Oh the sweet summer sun
I’ll never stop wishing for the tan lines we get
to last forever and ever
Spending all day on those bluffs
The rush you get when you jump into the cool lake water for the first time will probably never get old

Summer is the love of my life
It brings an abundance of happiness to my life
And just the word makes me feel all warm inside
The best memories I’ve made have been during that wonderful time
Man I wish someone loved me as much as I love summer

Before I met you

I was merely an unaging larva

Adept at hiding

Terrified of living

That always closed itself in.

It wasn't until you suddenly rushed in

that I finally gathered up the courage

The desire, the hope, the need

To burst from my suffocating casing

And flew right to thee,

Thinking you were just like me.

But when I did,

I saw what I didn't want to see

I saw the fragile mirror

That your kind eyes were reflecting

And found myself to be

Not the beautiful butterfly I was expecting

But an ordinary worker bee.

So I worked and worked

With my every breath

Persevered for you to notice me

Pleaded that you stay with me

Instead you flew away from me

And the wind under your wings

Carried away every little thing

Sunshine, earth, and rain

Till I finally withered in Spring

Till I finally accepted my fate and gave in

Became a drop of honey

Content just to be

The unseeable sweetness in that warm cup of tea,

I used to see you land in.
