You were in my nature
Destroyed to soon

Got a heart I don't even use
When will I admit it

Staying away from
Conversations
About me

Sleepovers
In my bed
Why can't you
Just lay closer
To me

It's like you know
That when I see you go

I'll be left torn

Not gonna stop
You from leaving the next day

I just fell
Somewhere
I fell for
You
At night

Don't know how
Or why

Maybe it was when I felt
Your arms around me

I think I saw my
Soulmate on the street
The other night.

I was walking along the sidewalk
That was dripping with rainwater.
The night was humming with
Its dark secrets.

And then suddenly I saw him.
I felt all the heavy
Decay and dead matter
Fall off my shoulders
And when I looked down,
I saw that it all had
Turned into feathers.

Millions of pictures flooded
My mind of what we could be
If only we knew each other's names.

I felt a joy deep inside places
I'm usually too afraid to even acknowledge.
Like my heart.
And my soul.

My stomach was full of butterflies.
My heart was full of sparks that
I need you to make into a
Passionate fire.

You passed with a warm smile
And suddenly I melted.
I should've melted into your arms, but
They weren't open, waiting to
Catch me.

But it's okay.
I don't blame you.
I know it's my fault.
I know I should open up more.
But I'm afraid.

When I saw you,
I wasn't afraid, not even for
One second.

I smiled back.
And said one word that made
Your smile open wider than
I ever thought possible.
"Hi."

I'd like to thank you, Soulmate.
I don't know your name,
Your age,
Your favorite song.
But you still somehow made me feel a way
I've never felt before.
I've never felt such joy.
I've never felt so brave.
I've never felt like
I could touch the stars
Before I saw you on that
Rainy street.

It is okay for me to get excited about seeing you.

I'm not obsessed.

I am simply in love.

Don't you feel the same?

You hold me down
so I won't drown
or drift so far away.

I'm tied to you
like the stars to the moon;
like curious to everyday.

A survivor's raft:
will not capsize
but will stay dry
because I'm safe with you on sea.

An anchor:
does not sink a boat;
it keeps it afloat
—that's what you are to me.
For Pau, a fellow MyDay.
And this is how important Day6 is to her.

why look for
true love
when true love'll
find you
take it easy
give yourself time
be free, not in chains,
when you love someone.

true love will always find its way to you

If I ever
Get to meet you
In another life
Or universe
I wish to
Recognize you
At first glance

And if you ever
See me then
Please at least
Give me a chance
To fix
What had gone wrong
In this lifetime
I need to stop pretending to have things that I can never have.
So that one day I can't stop,
To freeze my life
So I can - just imagine that.

You can see it in the glimmer
Of a blinking eye lash
How deep does their vision go
How far have they have sunk
Have they killed before
Can they accept their deaths
Or have they died a few times already
Their backs, their touch, their senses
It is all a tell to a wicked story
To be willing to be uncomfortable
To accept truths much rather
Taken covered away from the crowds
As most let it happen, but not you
Is to find real truth within life
Expose it all, leave it on the table
And lay your raises down
