Speaking Eyes
He played of losing me so many times
that finally he lost me definitely…
and his pain was not a game.
I let him win and lose me...

A
.
A silhouette
serving no purpose
I try to forget
but just when I do...
You're there, yet again

Floating
in the center of my fleeting focus
reminding me
You're near
You're still here
On my mind
and in my heart
which breaks when I hear
Your Name

Have I ever
even once
even just for one moment
been the center of your world?
It would come as no surprise
if you've pushed me to the side
and closed your eyes to me
as you have before

They all say you'll leave
In time
my mind will learn to ignore you
I'll blind myself to you
I pine while time slowly binds
and heals these wounds

But what of my heart?
Sliced open and diced apart
If I took you back to the start
like you asked
like you wanted
would it even matter?
I think you'd still choose the latter
You don't jump
You just

float

in the center of my fleeting focus,
the center of my world

Blade Maiden

At the fjord
a body floats on a board
how it got there
no one knows

At seaside
you pushed against the tide
I didn't send you off
but you came back

I begged for you
at least stay true
keep away
your harmful attitude

There you are
washed ashore from afar
How did you get here
and why did you come?

It took me so many beaches
and seas just to reach this
a part of my own
somewhere to calm

You will never know
with what I fought and how
I can't make you more
than a in-the-back-of-my-head thought

I kneel down next to you
I don't know if you sacrificed and what you've been through
I'm feeling reluctant to cut you off
but it's too late for other choices

I smile, I'm sorry
I won't forget, don't worry
I take a rock
and end it then and there

Sky
Rip
It hurts to see your name,
and know how quickly you cut me off -
but I suppose it allows me to move on
and find my happiness elsewhere.

Tonight, my tires traced the highway
I pulled over after missing my exit
Sidelined, I sat there
As the breeze through my window
Raised the hairs along my skin
And at once, it hit me
In that moment
Fear overcame bravery
Maybe you broke me
And there's no self-help book
To relearn how to let someone love me
