The sun springs a leak and
we're left mopping the sweat from our brows for a week.

Get a plumber.

You are a really good fisherman,

And I am just but a foolish fish,

                                                                             Preposterously bitten your hook,
With your bait of feigned love attached to it,

Piercing it all the way to my heart,

Leaving me wounded with all of those prevaricates I've fell for,

But I don't know why,

                            I still love the feeling,

That you've been jumping in gladness,

                                             That you've finally caught me,

Even though I was hardly breathing,

'Cause you've taken  me away from the place,

That makes me breathe and gives me joy.

                                 It somehow gives me relief,

                 Seeing the auspicious sun,

Brightly gleaming into my beautiful scales,

Not knowing it was just a start of a baleful Gehenna!

I should've known all along that it's just an entice!

                              But I am still blessed,

'Cause I have manage to escape,

While damaging and harming myself in the process,

From the jailhouse that you've locked me in.

                                                      From then on,

              You've learned a lesson,

And use NET instead.

POEM 22

Looking at Tombaugh Regio,
those heart shaped plains of Pluto,
I am thinking of you.

A five million mile journey,
begun when we were younger
but arriving just in time
to point out my words had already
carved your name
across the tallest ice mountain.

Tonight, I will look to the sky,
smile, and say loudly,
I think of you often,
even if you are so far away.

To truly know the fire,
one must taste the ashes.
A response to Helen's "Unrestrained".
He’s trick, like enrapturing
Wherein lies the paradox of his pantheism parapet’s paragon
Extraversion embezzlements and euthanasia extortions
Diction’s enunciation echoes of opaque opulence
Its redolence a savory waft
The evolution of psychic clarity’s élan vital
Bizarre dichotomous augur the singer’s aural austerity
Gypsy Queen, his guitar’s moniker, romanced aimed intention
Elaborate elliptical empathy endeavors for posterity’s predication
Pandemically  phatic  propriety venerations
Their apex crux axis beyond finite solution
Carousel ceaselessly ceremony chaos character charisma
Cerebral cortex’s ****** matrix
The individual must remain sacrosanct
Traipsing through the fallow furrows of assimilation’s xenobiotic barratry
Like capillaries' capricious and intravenous intrepid
Incalculably sensual beyond emotion’s expression
Impetus intrigue's intuitional verve
Ethology’s entelechy, theosophy’s theophany
Zoomorphic zoolatry's social contiguities
Futurity's corporeally preternatural fatidic
My sad attempt at social contiguity after reading poetessa diabolica's

I’m going to Republican heaven,
Going to meet Republican Jesus
After I pay off my school loans
Whenever my banker pleases
To let me out of the contract
With its usurious interest fees
And I am sure I will get there
When I am down on my knees.

I’ll have my Republican Bible
With its verses edited wisely
To exempt all the white folk
From behaving quite nicely
And making sure welfare
Is only for rich white neighbors
The rest are not allowed in
Our society except as laborers.

I am sure that Republican Jesus
Will welcome me quite warmly
For supporting the death toll
Of our Christian Soldier army.
He will be so delighted that
We vilified ungodly abortions
And how we treated those awful
Poor mothers and their orphans.

He will have to be delighted
That we held back the riches
We gained from our warfare
Ignoring our soldiers in ditches
Or maimed in those battles
We know you wanted us to wage
In the name of Republican Jesus
Out of our holy sense of rage.

Republican Jesus surely will
See how cleverly we diverted
The money to the richest people
Not the soldiers we deserted.
And, how only the people who
Did not need help financially
Got all the extra wealth we had
And we made sure of it annually.

I’m going to Republican heaven,
Going to meet Republican Jesus
And I’m sure greed and bigotry
Will just tickle him to pieces
Because it says in the Bible
The only people who will get in
Are the people that look like me
And vote for all the same men.

POEM 20

T-shirt soaked with frustration
while standing knee deep in apathy
and the way we are unbalanced
by this cultural abyss of life.
Could it be we have lost
the wonderment of awe
that once guided our hands
to paint cave walls?
Or the excitement felt
while looking at the swirl
of a star filled night,
tasting each twinkle
as if it was talking just to us?

Hell,
how many realize
that only 112 years ago
we first stepped into the air of flight,
and already can see
Pluto’s Tombaugh Regio.

So why do we allow
a depraved, me first,
everything for money social norm
unbalance our lives,
demand our conscious mind
be so limited
when we are capable
of so much more?

We already soar beyond the horizons,
why shouldn’t how we treat each other
and our planet
also soar
to such heights?

Am I candy
or eye-candy?
Was I candy the night
he violently unwrapped me and
stripped me of my striped coating
his flesh slick with sweat, always rubbing?
His ravenous lust was too much to contain.
Just like a man’s anger when he shoots up a school.
His hands found mine when I fought
melding into manacles before
cementing himself at my core.
I didn’t want this.

I am not candy.
My sweetness has long melted.
There’s a biting bitterness in me now
injected right between my hips.

The demons of drugs, drink, and excess
Seem like malevolent strangers
Purveyors of madness and mayhem
Symbols of doom and danger

The demons that overwhelm us
The demons that we hate
Threaten us at every turn
They lurk, they taunt, they wait

We should look deeper every time
We fear the demon's flaws
For they may not be hiding from us
They may not be so strange after all

We should look within ourselves
And heed that urgent call
For the demons may be staring at us
From that mirror on our wall

feel free to tell me
how much you love me
- she said to me
as she travelled on her way

I sat in Ireland
She drove in the States
I rested upon her dashboard
in a pixellated mess
my words spoken by a robot

and 'Siri' was heard to say
You're the leaves on my tree
- the stars in my skies
You're the rivers to my seas
(without you what am I?)

You're my reason for breathing
~ The glint in my eyes ~
You're the spice in this stew
You're the only one of you
I'm so lucky to have met
~ beautiful you

... I love you

(even Siri sighed, I think)
Siri is the female voice of an iPhone and she can read text messages to leave your hands free.
Distance love is so very hard.
My parents grew up in a town
that everyone drove through
but no one could remember the name of
and the trees grew in perfect rows
like city buildings.
It was a  place that had one school with every grade,
one diner that everyone drank coffee at,
and one church that everyone went to
no matter their beliefs.
My parents grew up in a town
where the tombstones outnumbered the people
that hid behind wavy seas of green
where no one can see them
unless you need to place flowers on the mounds
for your own sake.
My parents grew up in a town
where the number one place
for a crime scene
wasn't a dark alley
or ****** bar
but in your own **** living room.
My parents grew up in a town
where tragedy arose like clockwork
yet was always treated as a surprise
solved with
light, feathery words that held
no weight
like a band aid that always
seemed to get ripped off.
And the best way to talk about solutions
was to keep your mouth shut.
Ignorance is the speediest way
to keep your town perfect.
You had to hold on to your own ideas
and choke the others out.
My parents grew up in town
where you could only see the surface
decorated with smiling faces
worn like masks.
and what lies beneath
was only shown to the human eye
when it was too late.

She was a fiery seashell,
  lost 'neath convoluted oceans
     amongst opuses of pure poetry,
artistically outspoken
   'tween invertebrate reality
secretly devouring mankind,
  beware Herr Lucifer,
she rose from the gaseous chamber
to live amidst ashes of immortality
         & renowned marital infamy,
the eternal burning spirit of Lady Lazarus

Out of the ash
I rise with my red hair
And I eat men like air.
