You ran your hands over my body
Like a caress, only not as tender
More of a necessity, grabbing my flesh
Your skin not quite as soft as mine
Rougher and coarser

Kissing my face as you held it in your hands
Moving mechanically in practiced ritual
Taking off our clothing, somewhat with urgency
Before falling into bed
Under the covers, hidden naked in the warmth

We made a tent with the blankets
Giggling like children with a secret
Our secret, our intimacy,
That no one else will ever know
Just the two of us, there in that moment

Our bodies moving together
As you slip inside me
Ever slowly, sensual, gradual,
Your hands still running the length of my body
As I shiver with pleasure

Collapsing after, exhausted with the effort exerted
I lie beside you
Stretching out like cat, feeling every muscle pull
Before snuggling into your side, held tight in your arms
And falling asleep.

A little girl with the bluest eyes I'd ever seen
asked me if I know what happens when we die.
I smiled, and was about to answer when she said,
Don't worry. I'll tell you.

My mommy says it's like a big party,
and everyone that I know will be there,
each one having the time of his life.
Mommy says that God will have
chicken nuggets and Mac and cheese there
just for me, because he knows it's my favorite!
Isn't that sweet?

She smiled again, and went on to tell of
streets of gold, and a place
without pain, illness, or death-
a utopia of sorts,
and a God who made it all,
and who loves me specifically.

Her mother called out
Sophia! What did I say about talking to strangers sweetie?
Come here!

Sophia smiled, told me
she couldn't wait to see me again in heaven,
and went running off with her ponytail
swinging from one shoulder to another...
leaving me wishing that I believed it too.

After all, I really love mac and cheese.
The earth darkness grips
Behind the moon the sun slips
A solar eclipse.

Love isn’t always feeling free and butterflies,
Sometimes after we lose one we feel like the light dies.
The world seems dim and the curtains close,
Locked in a room with no place to go.

Love at first glance probably doesn’t exist,
But honey you do and you don’t want to miss:
All of the times with your friends and your daughters will grow,
And watching yourself kick *** because you’re tough, this I know.

Love doesn’t turn out right and the days pass on by slow,
While you’re **** thinking about the dip-**** who had you walk in the cold.
And though you’re still caught in the hole that he dug,
Don’t let it be your grave because it’s been dug without love.

Love isn’t love without two people a-growin’,
He obviously never did, and you have a hard time a-knowin’.
And you’re traveling to the wasteland, where diamonds don’t belong,
You’ll find him there, so you know this place is wrong.

Love does exist, and you’ll find it one day.
He wasn’t the one, and for now that’s okay.
You’ll find another and he’ll be in the wasteland,
That you’ve come to, yeah wondered, and you’ll be out of it then.

Love never comes when you decide to look,
So he’s just a heartache that doesn’t have a hook.
A stupid self-centered, insecure **** like him,
Doesn’t deserve such a precious, bright gem.

Born of dead matter, heat and compression,
Comes one of life’s greatest self-taught self lesson:
A diamond is beautiful, valuable too,
And brilliant and glistening and hard as hell too.
Diamonds were once dead and diamonds were once buried,
Diamonds were once a big blob of bitter nothing.
But if you look now, after all of this time,
If you listen closely and you hear this rhyme,
You will understand that people are diamonds too,
And if you followed closely, that diamond was you.

Love,
Cheyenne
It’s me there in your sunrise eyes
your swaying hips, your sunset thighs
like tasting sun kissed lemon pies
writhing in your sun soaked ties

My fingers gently wisp your breast
Bite your petals, kiss your chest
Holding you when you need rest
Restrained there at your own behest

It’s me there lapping you like waves
Exploring all your hidden caves
Sensual your body craves
So wild as it misbehaves

But soon it will be you I’m sure
Who’s pinned me on the sandy floor
Begging me to beg for more
Begging you to touch my core

It will be us then side by side
Arms entwined but neither tied
No foolish thoughts nor foolish pride
No fears or feelings we must hide

Just us there in the fading light
And us there in the quiet night
Again, when next the sun takes flight
Like two birds soaring to great height

Then gently fading out of sight
Yes, gently fading out of sight.
As I lay on the ground
Looking up at your smiling face
I can see the lie in your eyes
You're denying the truth
And leaving me in the dirt
Standing over my broken body
Watching my pain and hurt
Multiple with every comment
And ***** look
You put me down on this ***** ground
And lost love was all it took
I'm ashamed to say that I'd take you back
I'd let you pull me up into your arms
Cause without you I'm just a heart attack
Waiting to happen
Just broken pieces and shattered parts
Waiting for you to put me back together

Waiting for you to realize what you've done

Waiting for you to remember me

Waiting for your love

*Waiting for you
