I am human.
I am one strip of skin stitched together holding active organs in line,
I am 206 bones.
I am one brain.
I am one overly active heart.
I am one lung and 2 ovaries.
I am the same as you.
but how dare you compare me to you.
I am independent thoughts,
I am autonomous actions
I am a story.
I am history and future.
I am human.
It was like a speck of dust or maybe glitters.
Flew like fleeting birds and gave birth to crystals.
Those sparkly moments that gave perfection a new hue.
My insane mind, thinking I could have it all again.
These seconds that goes by so swiftly,
slips right through your bruised fingers
and leaves you with its lingering fragrance.
Embrace it while your soul is still alive,
for it awaits to turn into some desired memory.
Capture the dazzling beams, the flickers and twinkles.
The dashing street lights,
the sunrise in your heart,
the never ending chaos of a city life.
One coffee and one tea
in a cafe you and me

A smile, then a laugh
eyes speak on my behalf

I'm nervous and you can tell
my voice is begging to rebel

Your eyes try to read my shyness
your tongue full of wryness

Beginnings are my favorite part
but this could break my heart
I can’t sleep,
I can’t drink,
got to see a man tonight,
shivers and shakes,
imaginary snakes,
walls closing in,
heads in a spin,
body in pain,
always the same,
I've got a need,
a powerful need.
I wrote this about a difficult time in my life many years ago, thankfully I recovered but I know for many the struggle continues.
