She sews her wounds with silver thread
Not all storm clouds bear silver linings, you were mislead
Silver scars shimmer in the sun
Beautiful reminders of the battles that she's won
Beautiful souls are often those who've suffered most
My parents tell me
"Watch out.
Most poets
Go crazy
And **** themselves."

What if I am
Crazy,
And I'm already
Dead
Inside?
Feeling more depressed and useless than normal... Ugh
How you’ve been?
Have you told your mother about me?
I heard you’ve been away to discover yourself or something
But was it worth it when you stole his heart?
Never returned it, but he earned **** for you from the start
Are you working or just wasting your time?
Did I mention that you’re still on my mind?
Still that lonely guy
Low yet high
Don't know why I still get at your phone
Like, me, I should ******* focus on my own life
Yeah, but the bigger picture slips in you
Become more significant in the mixture
Can’t seem to see myself
Always tried to be myself
But who am I, who am I?
All the silence does not mean
You are alone,
It is the world waiting for you
To listen;
And in the darkness you are
Found by the light
Of your hope.

And in the tears of your
Pain you are born,
There you become stronger
And it creates order.

Pick up your flesh as your spirit
Lifts,
And speak your happiness
As if the tip of your tongue
Was the mountain's peak
Speaking at the sky,
The burden is a caged bird
And only the conscious can set
It free.
And sing to yourself so that
You know you are never alone
In your body.

Know that your crazy is beautiful
Because it makes you YOU,
Wear your skin like
Your cozy blanket and cuddle
In the warmth of yourself.
     You are not broken,
But scattered like the night
With pieces like stars shining,
    Open your pain and yourself
To the wound of the world and heal
Whatever you choose.
In highschool
You fell asleep
The hair falling in your face
Your lips agape
And eyes shut gently

What would you dream, this time
Would it be about lost loves
That could have been
Like late night bloggers
Or 4am writers
Maybe even the boy

In highschool
You always cracked a joke
And you always curled your lips
Always smiling and always laughing
Your bright white teeth glimmering
Like the northern lights

What caused your smile, this time
Was it your current love
The always texting
Or the never replying
Maybe the haven't talked in years

In highschool
You'd tell stories
Your eyes lighting up
And your smile big
Your heart beating rhythmically

What was this story about, this time
Was it about the faceless distant love
Or the fateful long love
Maybe even the past love

In highschool
You were the light of the day
No matter what
You dreamed
You smiled
And you told your stories

In highschool
You were strong when everything inside you was weak.

Ben
I heard a girl
With her leg drapped
Over her boyfriend
On the train

"And like
I don't know why
I'm responsible for
The rent, chase
He should pay
All my rent and---"

Her boyfriend nodded
His head like an
Obedient boyfriend should
Many
"Yes babe"
"Chase should pay"
"You're the best"

I looked out the window
We had been stalled in
The sanguine of the
Penn station tunnel for
Fifteen minutes

Lots of trash
On those tracks
The smashed husks of
Super sized sodas
And the yellowed
Flayed remains of
Plastic bags

The materialization of
An entire species
Concentrated apathy
Decorating the lowest
Circle of its
Most desirable city

We pass an empty
Adjacent train
My eyes dart from
Window to window
The vacant seats
Face their respective
Directions and
The windows
Are still stained with
The fog of human heat

I think about
Islands made of plastic
In the middle of the
Ocean
And
How chase should
Pay the rent

La Mer
Like morning shine, I creep through windows
And expose my internal rays
Am I to cure this heavy sadness,
Or remain blank in all of my ways?

Shall I heal the broken,
Words brand new with courage,
Or repeat those that have already been spoken?

Is the this job of plenty,
This journey that tramples my ears
Or a timeless piece of evidence,
That my life will see too many years?

Traveler
He hugged me
Tears running down his face
I felt him shudder
For the whole human race

Just who condemned him
Has always been clear
The righteous
The believers
The possessors
Of fear

Yet sympathy
I felt
For the Devil
Himself
Because forgiveness
   Runs through my veins...
