A thousand years of time collide,
The gates of truth are open wide,
Look past the guards of fear and dread,
Find the key that lies ahead.

No epic, tale, or myth can tell,
Nor on earth is there a spell,
That helps describe what's happened here,
And too my mind it's all unclear.

My feelings are a jumbled mess,
And I fear aloud I can't express,
But if you find my heart speaks true,
Know that I'm in love with you.
Valentines poem only four days late! Yay!
Rub noses
Wriggle toes
Blush a little
Giggle more
Hold hands
Eyes lock
Look down
Get closer
Blush a little
Giggle more
Fingers touch
Deep breath
Lips touch
Tongue tingles
Heart pounds
Blush a little
Giggle more
First kiss
Any more?
Inspiration for this poem came from the Short film, called 'first kiss' made to advertise the Wren clothing company. Beautiful film.
My love is a building
The foundation beneath it was laid carelessly
Workers smoked and drank, they were unaware and sweetly intoxicated
My love is a building decaying in rain or snow
It cannot withstand such trouble
It is a strong yet fragile house
A lovely uncouth prison, a clumsy little girl's doll house
My love is a building
It is hidden and silent like folding a sheet of tissue paper
With every winter storm, it shivers in the wind
I am sorry to my love
For not taking care of you
The wallpaper withers, falls onto your creaking wood floors
As dust gathers in the basement
Laying particles of the atmosphere over old pictures and mementos
I still have your necklace
And I will hang myself with it around my neck
From the stairwell
Because everything else in this house
Is falling apart anyways
Each flake that falls upon the ground
Carries a sort of air
It falls from heaven, and dances around
It lands upon my hair

Covered now,  in fairy dust
I must sing a new song
Not one of love or lust
But I want you to play along

When the snow has stop falling
I step back inside
I hear the trumpet calling
And know I must abide

I do as it commands
Like the voices in my head.
She knows I’ll understand
She knows I’m hanging by a thread

My body feels numb
But not from the cold
That feeling had never come.
This is a feeling I’d often hold

Each second on the clock seems to take longer
I know my time is coming
I hear it getting stronger,
The sound of distant drumming

The frail hand that keeps my time
Is coming to a close
For I start to hear the chime
An end to all my happiness, but also my sorrow and woes.

As I close my eyes my mind
takes me to you. Not only by
flesh but by heart and soul. As
I close my eyes I feel your love
coursing through my blood. As
I close my eyes I replay the way
your hands caress my thighs by
surprise and how you manage to
take my breath away during the
night and day.  As I close my eyes
I feel you breathe the words of love
down my neck and spine. I feel you
writing them on every inch of my skin
with your fingertips and tongue.  I close
my eyes and I see you take off your
disguise causing the heat in my body
to rise* ~
Stricken
with a sickness
of the mind,
so it seems.

Words,
that for a time,
fell so
easily.

Now
they are stuck,
like a lump
in my throat.

Why
is it always
when I
need to write,
that I stay up
and think
until morning's light,
and never
get anywhere
with words
on my page
and that,
my dear friend,
is being stuck in a cage.
I'm feeling kind of stuck right now, I have a writing project due soon and I can't bring myself to write it.

Waking up this morning
Dreams dancing vividly in my mind
The kiss of reality snuck in
And with that kiss, our inevitable
goodbye...
My heart will not be denied
Soul, body, and mind
I will not be confined
I'll reach for the sky
This, I will live by

Even after I die
I will be immortal
My words have no goodbyes
