to quit thinking about you because it's late and those nights won't stop replaying.
how to move on when you still hold me like you do.
how not to fall in love with you because I can't stop shaking at the thought that I am.

Lonely,
unfriendly night.
Dark skies,
dejected sighs.
Wine sips,
thirsty lips.
Messy hair,
(silent stares).

Throughout her adult life
all of the land shaded.
Feverless islands where the
aged couple sleep.
Never once have I hosted a party. Not once have I
told you, I have
been hurt.

Fragile thoughts;
Fractured dream;
Her graceful smile..
And the wounds heal.

I wish being a poet made me money. I wish my emotions made people happy. I just wish a lot of things for a lot of outcomes because I just want to be happy.
