New Normal
Shivangi Singh Oct 2020
Started with denial
Too unreal to believe

Then we were lost
No remedy to relieve

With uncertainty & despair
Many are broken beyond repair

But we crawled into acceptance
Built a fort of interdependence

When normalcy seems a far-fetched wish
You realise the time wasted on bigger fish

Maybe its a hint to straighten up priorities
When its life or death, too futile for insecurities

This time, It's different
Have varied reasons to celebrate

Some overcame the tragedy
Others are thankful to healthy fate

Some look forward to normalcy
Others found positivity to emanate

There's one common trait
In trying times, we did cultivate

Is to cherish the uncherished
And relish this time to originate

Though,we still have a long way to go
But, we found our reasons to contemplate

New decade
Shivangi Singh Jan 2021
Yet another decade begins, another choice we get
To create  a nexus or a vicious circle

Its time to reflect back, and know
What it means for your soul, your inner sparkle

Time
Shivangi Singh Nov 2020
Some consider it to be finite & counted
While others find it incessantly mounted

Time is not about retrospection when lonely
But a worthy asset to be invested wisely

Make time for the ones of importance
Before its too late for reluctance

It teaches us that despondence shall pass
Or its not going to be forever sunny

We would know how precious is this entity
Only if we could exchange for money

Thus do it now, the wish you summon
Its late already, time waits for none

Celebrate yourself
Shivangi Singh Jan 2021
Many days we celebrate, from history to elf
But did we dedicate a day for ourself?

A day to calibrate, summarize our life slate
A day to embark, the guided light in dark
A day of atonement, to reconcile with opponent
A day to cherish, the unnoticed that perish

Its obvious and vague at the same time
But prioritize your peace, rest can be reassigned

We listen, we share, we care
Yet have the audacity to dare

Long has been the journey
From stereotypes to modern distinction

We carry a heart of empathy
Yet hold the ground against oppression

The line however gets grey at times
When we lose sight of the motive

It's not to get better or supreme
But to change minds that are corrosive

Idea is not to necessitate validation
Or find reasons for retaliation

But to co-exist in ecosystem
Without any unrealistic criticism

Let's think deeper, with this beautiful tome

Mother's Day

She's your ardent believer
She makes sure, you shine
With her on your side
Everything around gets divine

She's complete in all senses
With a power to shield,
Embrace our phases,
Decipher what we conceal

You could read my eyes always
as a child or childlike
You're beyond all praise
hey mom, why so godlike?

Bubble
Shivangi Singh Oct 2020
In a world full of escape,
Too less to say, too much to ape

We are too quick to act
But no time to check fact

Is it about freedom or greed
Or just part of another breed?

Maybe its time to look back
Than forward

Introspect, even if they
Call you a coward

Till then, be in your own bubble
For outside is full of hateful rubble

The one I lost
Shivangi Singh Oct 2020
Still unbelievable, Still irreparable

You were there for a shoulder
A motherly smolder

You were genuine & Kind
Wish could put this on rewind

You were there to inspire
Strong & brave as fire

Will remember you
For not that you're gone
But cherish our memories
And let it live on

It's never easy, never bearable
Still unbelievable, Still irreparable

Oneness
Shivangi Singh Oct 2020
There's sense in every opinion
But are we ready to listen?

Or are we too blinded by
The loudness that glisten?

We are too tiny an entity to spare
But world to the ones who care

There's no division of our beloved sky
Then why my friend, why do we pry?
