Poetic T
Footsteps upon the ground
Of where past stood,
Trampled by the present and
Shamed upon by those who
Look upon beyond and
Bow heads
In shame,
For regrets
That transpired in those
First footsteps,
Once trod upon.
They were aged but still
Visible even though
The idea was trampled upon,
We must look back
Look at what transpired
A dream was built
Innocent
Blindness
Nightmare
Reality
But what was its price
Is it truly a dream
If so many paid for It
With those first footsteps
Can a footstep ever be erased..

A Tree of Life with roots of evil will die in the storm,
before it’s ever born.
The sun will be its father, and it will be raised by mother earth.
If it soaks up knowledge it will survive its birth.
Sprouting ideas while growing its spirit.
There’s a whisper in the wind... be quiet and you can hear it.
Doesn’t need to fear it, when the weather gets cloudy.
It knows its true colors and reveals them proudly.
It cannot be not shy, because when it looks around.
It realizes every other tree is similar,
Just different branches in the ground all waiting to be found.
Discovered and loved; nourished by nature.
It realizes its reflection is its only true stranger.
Covered with bark so you cannot see the inner.
Shadowed by the dark, transforms to a sinner.
A stump at worst, and a home at best.
Too much is in between to explain the rest.
Now let it be known, when the red leaf falls,
It’s the end of a season for no apparent reason.
Time to change its ways; it won’t take a few days.
Give it time to mature to reach its full potential.
It sounds so simple, yet gets complicated.
When it timbers down, something new is created.
It went from a seed to sprout, conquered any drought.
Now with a shout of thunder, it just can’t help to wonder.
"Why am I here, and what is my purpose?"
But if it received the answer, would life really be worth it?

Can you leave
Until the mind does
You may have gone far
And mind in inertia
Forgets to look ahead
Got rid of proximity
But travel the distance
To and fro, everyday
Through the barren path
Rushing from one point to another
It’s the action in inaction
Mind’s in inertia
We may have moved
And the mind lies there
Are we far?

Dreams are yours
Color them as you like
Vibrant hues of the world
Are on your palette
Paint a rainbow
Or, rainbows over rainbows
Look up at the sky
Lots of colors
And explore what lies beyond
Over the rainbows
And head held high

Sometimes air can be nostalgic
It brings with it familiar fragrances
When you feel someone’s presence
A whiff of it can take you back in time
Catch the memories in the air
Take a deep breath
And the moments fill your mind
Awakening the glorious days
Which, comes rushing inside you
Close your eyes
And float back to the past
Sitting alone, you feel their presence
The air is a messenger from the past

Just let the words flow
It’s your feelings recognized
Flowing through you
You are immersed in them
And carries so many memories
Made of everyone you met
Now you have a chance
To write a memoir
Of the important events
Beginning to emerge
And see the light of day
Against a pristine background
Once etched in your mind
Now scripted with ink
That is your life
Every drop a part of you
Let the words flow
And read them aloud
Hear the echoes
Around the four walls

Blinded by the bright lights
Darkness seemed more welcoming
Path leading to cul-de-sac
