Let's set sail
and float without fail
even if we go blind we'll read whole books in Braille
and life will never get stale
we'll drink tea and we'll live free as she and he
her and him let's do it on a whim
you'll be thought of before me
I'll even sign a decree
or a contract
it's love when we come in contact
and I believe it as fact
so let's make a pact
to set sail and never come back

You will feel the space
between sounds,
between your fingers
and your faces,

it will hurt your ears
to communicate
any desire to touch,
to see, to hear,

and when you taste
their absense,
it will become far too easy
to long for their perfume
on your pillows.

Would it be ok if I took some of your time?
Would it be ok if I wrote you a rhyme?
Would it be ok if I opened my heart?
Would it be ok if I took on the part
Of being your man and showed you a view,
One that only a real man could do?
Would it be ok if I could make you smile.
Would it be ok if I were to replace
All the men in your past that just wouldn't do
And vow to be faithful and always be true?
Would it be alright to look in your eyes?
Would it be alright to never tell lies?
Would it be alright to find a way?
Would it be alright to long for the day
To pull you close and whisper in your ear
And tell you our feelings are nothing to fear?
Would it be ok if I took some of your time?
Would it be ok if I wrote you a rhyme?
To tell you there's nothing I'd rather do
Than spend my whole life loving only you!

Vale Luna
I was a rose
Turned black with decay
Until my petals fell to the dirt
And I stood naked
In front of your audience

I was a rose
Watered with vinegar
Fed with cyanide
Loved by your ego
And broken by your hands

I was a rose
Torn from the roots
Cut off at the stem
Dead before I was alive
And rotten before I was ripe

I was a rose
Stabbed by my own thorns
Bleeding from the inside
Draining my crimson color
Into your palms

I was your rose
Painted black by your lips
Brushed to dark perfection
My expiration date long passed
As you sniffed my last breath away.

I was your rose.

Paraphrase
I have been here,
Since the bench we now sit on,
Was still a tree, swaying in the wind.

Since the surreal morning skies we see,
Were just thoughts,
In a young boy's untethered imagination.

I have been here,
From a time when change of seasons were marked,
By the games we managed to play.

Since adventures that we embarked upon,
Were just harmless journeys,
Of 13 miles, to the very edges of the city.

It is time for me to go,
Chasing surreal skies I have not already seen,
To the edges of new cities.

This time, I will be gone long,
But when I lose myself,
To untethered imagination,
It is still thoughts of you I'll see.

Wait for me, my love,
For when I give in,
To whims of temporary escape,
In your arms is where I'll be.

It is time for me to go,
Chasing surreal skies I have not already seen,
To the edges of new cities.
Dark alleys
are for catious lovers.
Cigarette butts littered
the asphalt
when his lips met mine.

He stole my breath
as easily
as he creeps
into thought.
So powerfully
that
constalations collapse.

Shadows danced
encircling us
teasing of our secret.
Cigarette smoke rising
clinging to me
along with his scent
and affection.

He must have
been carved by God's
and cursed by Ruin.
Fallen to this earth
as a cast away.
His eyes
say so much..

In his arms
I felt
everything
all at once.
The ground shifting
under my feet.
This alley
forever imprinted
with this moment.

Olivia V
softly, she weeps
warm tears falling,
tracing her contours.
a breeze, so soft,
moves through her.
it's silent tonight,
and so is she.

tendrils of green,
sway above her.
a dance of despair,
of solace and sadness.
and she joins
and moves with the wind.

she thinks and she thinks,
of ephemeral air.
how it stirs and caresses,
then dissipates and departs,
only to sweep across mountains and valleys.

she wishes to be,
no more than a breeze.
gentle but strong,
to be felt by all yet seen by none.

the willow above,
with its weeping green,
grazes her cheeks,
and beckons her gently
to join with those currents,
in their invisible journey.

and so her body fades,
and she leans to the tree,
the drapery of leaves
enfolding her like a lover.

if one were to glance
at the willow tree,
they would see a girl no longer there
would see only tendrils of green,
swaying in the wake of some wind.

in her place,
there is now a silent emptiness.
and the willow still weeps
with joy for her freedom,
in despair that she's gone.
