He's a heister,
Now detaining my precious,
Aloof and so vulnerable
Yet he is careful
Scared to crush the gem
Into smithereens
For it cannot be the same
Once it is broken
Word for the day: smithereens (small pieces)

I honor the place in you in which
the entire universe dwells.
I honor the place in you which is of love, of truth, of light and of peace.
When you are in that place in you and I am in that place in me,
we are one.

Wounds emptied my veins
Speechless, weakened
Cannot get up at all
Lying, waiting
Only the rain can mend
Dew drops come
Moisten my skin
Before it desiccates
To be thrown away...
Word for the day: desiccate

She is the stained girl,  a diffident dreamer
Who looks for the sun and the rain together
Her  panache is to craft blissful memories
Festooned with vivid thoughts, her accessories

She is the stained girl,  a feeble believer
Who relies on a happy ever after
Yet scared to be seen from her cheerful facade,
Something that would charge her of being a fraud

She saunters in the midst of the piqued storms
Resounding the hues of the jaundiced norms
Like a bird highlighted with vibrant plumes
To fly around the walls of perplexing rooms

She wears the best maquillage, old and new
To make everyone away from being blue
She offers her hair, those gilded strands
Yet they exploit her gift with their vicious hands

She is the stained girl who seeks for uprightness
Yet pain has shaped her with creased faithfulness
In front of a looking glass, there I see
That magnificent, stained girl looks like me.
*Stained here is colored or painted.

Amaranthine grace
In this mystique place
I dance like a princess

Kissed by the rain
I stay sweet yet plain
Love is my cess

I bow and flow
You make me glow
I'll keep my word

I always bloom
With love, no gloom
Blessed by our Lord!

Inspired by the Word for the Day
Dhaye Margaux Mar 2016
This life is a recondite transit
Where our paths might be unknown
We would stop  at varied crossroads
When confused at those strange zones

The sky each day may differ
There could be sun,  there could be rain
It could be blue or could be orange
But on the next pace,  it could be grey

And if ever the times get harsh
That we might stumble and fall
Just remember we're not alone
In going through tight bouts at all

Life is a creek of promises
Springing from heavens above
The rain of life will flow on us
We should welcome the gift of love

But like a battlefield we know
What we purport is to survive
In this platform of test and ventures
After each fall,  we must revive

Life is survival of the fittest
The world is a precarious place
Don't be that weak who cannot soar
Be like an eagle, conquer the space.
For  the  "TEN WORDS I GIVE" CONTEST where I have to use the following words in  poem:
STOP
ORANGE
GREY
STUMBLE
CREEK
HEAVENS
BATTLEFIELD
PLATFORM
WEAK
EAGLE

Thanks for the inspiration....no writer's block this time. :)

There are fewer things
beautiful than ugly,
I know that stars are most
bright when they fall
from impassioned skies,
That when your skin
meets mine, I am like an
amnesiac being returned
a lifetime of memories.

I hate few things,
except, perhaps, the murky
lakes of your eyes,
The misty beaches we
explored until sunrise.
How you pressed your lips
to mine like a death wish,
that it was deplorable,
but we wanted more, more.

My body was a map
you tore apart when you
got tired of exploring it.
The ancient psalms of our
tongues cannot silence.
Ruins of ancient Rome
survive on your lips, yet
you still live, breathe.
You call yourself mortal.
