I am orange
Never appreciated
Always second to the red
Trying to get to the top
It's impossible

An outsider
Unlike all the others
Not one rhyme
I am different

Trying to fit in
Always sticking out
Too bold
Everyone is staring

I want to hide
Escape society
Forget all the pressure
It's pointless

It is what it is
Nothing will ever change

What stands between us is time.
Schedules, plans, events--
Every second, every minute, every hour
We are travelling apart.
I think of you when my time is
No longer occupied
But isn't it that I'm supposed to
Think of you all the time?

What stands between us is distance.
You are a hundred miles above sea level
And I am already drowning below.
By time you jump off the sea to save me,
(Will you? Will you?)
The ocean has already wrapped its arms
Around me and yet they say,
Distance does not matter.

What stands between us is fear.
I say to the mirror,
I love you.
I say to the mirror,
But I'm afraid we're not working out.

What stands between us is them.
A girl smiles, a guy winks.
That lab partner has accidentally
Brushed your arm,
And he held my stare for too long.
"You know he'll eventually find someone there, right?"
"You know someone will eventually whisk her away, right?"
Eventually. Like we cannot do anything about it.
(We can, though.)

What stands between us is us.
You grin back, I blushed.
Our world was filled with only two pairs of eyes.
Our separate worlds is now invaded with too many.
That hole in our gut that says 'I miss you.'
Has been ignored too often
We mistake it for stress.
We mistake it for something else.
We mistake.

(We can do something
But the thing here is
We probably won't.)

You are the moon
that listens to me
at 4 am
when I lie on my back,
looking at the ceiling
thinking
how we could have been,
how we were supposed to be.
But then again,
you are the moon
and I'm the human
and we're million miles apart.
I wish we were closer

The mask

Behind my luring silence

lies the inevitable fate.

You're mind is swirling with your thoughts

you're looking for an escape.

I'm a ticking bomb with a smiling mask,

Go ahead and touch me

I will blast.

All we both need to do is start a conversation.

Sooner or later,

I will be your biggest addiction.

I love destroying you slowly

torturing you brings a smile on my face.

You can't see me clearly

but it's how I was made.

You're the only thing which can save you from yourself.

but its too late

You were dead when the darkness fell.

Strain your ears,

you can hear the sirens

You were your biggest fear

and you needed my guidance.

I'm a falling stone in a world of glass,

all this time I was the devil behind your smiling mask.
Some of the lines in this poem where inspired by Tristania's World of glass. The original lyrics are
'I am a falling stone
In a world of glass
I am a ticking bomb with
a smiling mask
Can you ever let go?'

I see no evil
Because we hide the pain
I hear no evil
Because you’re too scared to say
I speak no evil
Because I never could tell anyone
About what was hidden deep inside?
Sad because this is how a victim feels

You say
I am turning
into the lady
with the large book
and CD collection,
with isolated friends
and few dates,
whose only love
will be a cat man
one day.
But I'm enjoying
my Saturday
with Kerouac
and kin,
dreaming of
yellow lines and
the open road
instead of
yellow lights
and bars.
Plus,
I'd rather write
these lines alone,
than spend my night
talking in code.
I got places to be, but no will to be there.

You
You and I,
We started off as a stranger,
Like a perfect destiny.
That moment,
You are dazzling under the sun,
You are like a star,
Which shine bright on me.
This rhyme is for you,
From my heart to you.
